Indeed.
That plane was here for one of two possible reasons:
1) Recruiting
and/or
2) Les Miles
We have Brandon on record saying he was going to touch base with as many recruits as possible, thus the theory that the visit to Thomasville, GA was to visit the family (or maybe his high school coach) of 5 star recruit Ray Drew (who is/was being recruited by Michigan) -- Drew plays in half an hour and will be returning home later tonight. Michigan's plane is currently in Thomasville.

Couldn't they be staying for a few days UNTIL Les comes back to BR?

The plane hasn't been anywhere near Michigan since at least December 25th.

Okay since you're such a genius, what's your theory/theories as to why a Michigan plane would be in Baton Rouge mere days after Michigan fires their head football coach and in the middle of an intense recruiting period?
Do tell, oh wise eyes wide open man of genius...

Have you looked at where the plane has been the past 2 weeks? It hasn't flown close to Michigan or the bowl game. So these "officials" from Michigan who might be on the plane flew to NY 1st on a different plane, then fly to GA, then to BR for 2 hours, then back to Savannah.....all while Miles and the top LSU AD officials are in Dallas. Can you explain that?
It could be regarding recruiting or other business purposes...or it could be regarding Miles. There are too many holes for it to make logical sense that the plane has to do with the coaching search.
Why not fly to Dallas to meet with Miles after the game? especially since that is where Les's agent lives. and Les was already in Dallas. If the plane flys back to BR today, then I'll begin to believe it's regarding Les.
and even better, it's flying back to NY right now.

No, but it's scheduled to fly back to Savannah for a brief stop before going back to Westchester, NY.

shite just got real...
Rumors in the Twitterverse are that Domino's plane has filed a flightplan to head to Dallas. Michigan AD Brandon uses the Domino's plane and it was in Scottsdale, AZ at last report.
I haven't been able to locate the registration number yet for the Domino's plane but apparently all the Michigan folks know that it's the plane Brandon flies.
Confirmation that Domino's plane is headed to Dallas later today:

Forget the Michigan branded plane... time to watch the Domino's plane.

His agent is based out of Dallas

Oh, I didn't even think of that. That would make a lot more sense then.

Bingo.
Put it this way...
Brandon isn't going to Dallas (and leaving Scottsdale) to deliver some pizza.
Whatever he's up to, it has something to do with the coaching search or recruiting or both.

quote:Ok, this actually seems credible that Brandon might be on this plane since this plane originated from Detroit (45 min drive distance from Ann Arbor) on Jan 5th.

Stops:
1) Johnstown, PA (planned stop) or Latrobe, PA? (diverted to) (5 hr stop)
2) Chicago (overnight stop).........................could be Pat Fitzgerald at Northwestern.
3) Scottsdale (about 1.5 hr stop twice)........................dropping people off for NCG?
4) Las Vegas (overnight stop)
5) Dallas.........................could be TCU's Patterson & his agent (Miles as well)
Coaching candidates based on flight plan:
1) Pat Fitzgerald at Northwestern
2) Patterson at TCU
Brady Hoke is in San Diego.
Miles is in Baton Rouge.

BilJ is one million percent correct.
Miles' agent is indeed based in Dallas:

Bass also reps TCU's Gary Patterson.
