Reggie has ALWAYS stepped up his game in the playoffs FACT. I see no reason why he doesn't continue that role especially going against his old college coach. Reggie loves the spotlight of big time games; he'll have a helluva game

Do you think Bush is going to grind out the yards during the playoffs to the SB?

Pffft.

We need his playmaking ability on the edge but I don't see him rushing for 100 yards this postseason in any game.

I hope so... the injury bug is hitting at the exact wrong time this year (unlike last year).

Didn't say this either. I'm saying that he'll come up huge on punt returns w/ possible scores and making a few memorable plays each game on offense. A la the scoring TD at Chicago in '06, the dazzling run against Arizona last year, and his catches over the middle against Minnesota last year

Yea, that really hurts. Our run game is gonna kill us in the playoffs.

Well this proves that Ivory is in no way the future at RB, he might be serviceable for a few years but no way he can handle the full load.

We need to look at RB in the draft

PT 2 weeks ago proved he can grind out the yards. Reggie last game showed he is running well, and has toward the end of the season and playoffs typically.

Running game might suffer a bit without Ivory, but it isn't anything the other two can't handle if they step up.

Sucks. But no surprise.

P.T. has GOT to stay healthy next 4 games.

We need to look at RB in the draft after 6th or undrafted with our track record. FIFY.

The staff has to be tired of all the injuries in the RB position.

I can't see going with the same RB crew and expecting different results.

I could see a very different squad when the 2011 season opens from top to bottom(if we had a top or bottom).

I've been saying this for a while. Reggie prolly hits the market even if they want to re-sign him. Someone wants to overpay then let them. I'm thinking $3 mil a yr offer to stay. There was such an under current of acrimony with PT preseason and with the injury that it seems probable someone will wanna pay more than the Saints.

Keep Ivory and Hamilton but both have such long injury resumes that they are the type than might contribute but the type ya can't expect to make it through a season (hey, like PT & Reggie).

I could see a free agent like DeAngelo Williams or Michael Bush as a load carrier. Sproles or Leon Washington could be a Reggie type replacement.

Draftwise, Ryan Williams or Demarco Murray look like feature backs the could be around a Saints top pick. There are several 2nd-4th Rd Reggie role replacemants- LeMichael James, Kendall Hunter, Demps, Devine

How many carries did Bell get in the play-offs last year? To lazy to look it up. But I believe Reggie and PT pretty much carried the load last year with a little success.

I can't see them taking a chance on missing a decent RB to keep a guy that may not play but 7-9 games. One of these are gone next year...maybe two.

he's a type they could use, seriously. Anyone hear if he might be declaring? Highest I've seen him projected is 3rd Rd. Seems like he could boost his stock with another productive year.

Not sure if he's declaring or not...I heard he hates school though and there's a good chance he will declare.

Didn't want to start a new thread because it's just a rumor, but there's a rumor on SR that PT is joining Ivory on the IR. If we ever needed Reggie to have a huge game...

ETA: Admins took the thread down, so that's good news? The thread was started by Darth Maul who claims to be a friend of a friend of Pierre's, so it's not the most reliable rumor. Just really scary.
