The thing they put on top of it is the trick.

In oven, lay out the pieces on a cookie sheet lines with foil, put in oven at 350, about 10 min flip the bacon and cook till done, throw away foil and clean up is done

place bacon on paper towel on a plate. cover with another paper towel. Microwave.

start with low heat to melt the fat.

The rest is easy, with the 'thing they put on top of it".

Been using the cookie sheet in oven, but cleanup is a beeeoch. I'll have to try the foil on top.

My only problem is, the wife wants me to collect the bacon grease for future use.

those microwave bacon slices are money. if you dont have those, just a cast iron pan.

I have one of those weighted instruments and love it. I also think it's important not to overcook it and not in too much grease cause it'll blister up and lose the meaty taste.

Put it on a broiler racker, line the pan with foil, for easy clean up... sprinkle with brown sugar and then roast in the oven.
