Got this for Christmas, and this game is pretty fricking awesome and am surprised no one else here is talking about it. It is just classic Donkey Kong Country gameplay plus a jetpack in Diddy Kong. Its the perfect sequel. Am I the only person really excited about 2-D's comeback?

Why don't they just make a Sonic game like this? Yeah I know they technically made Sonic 4, but the game wasn't good at all and only had 4 levels. This game and New Super Mario Bros proves it will sell. Sure kids probably won't buy it (kids don't buy New Super Mario Bros but older gamers certainly do), but pretty much anyone who grew up with Sonic will buy a true Sonic game, just as anyone who grew up with these two series will buy the games.

Not really sure.

It's not something I really mind, as I owned a SNES as a kid and grew up with Donkey Kong, Mario, Metroid, and Kirby. Never had a Genesis, just played it at my friend's house. I will say though, that as successful as Sonic was in the 90's, that series has become one of the most disappointing and mishandled I have seen.

A lot of it has to do with the Dreamcast and how it became the downfall of Sega as a console company.

Sega is proof that being a company ahead of the times can be a bad thing.

There are a couple gems that made me wish I had a Wii, this would be one of them.

It's okay, but it's nowhere near as good as the originals

Its a great game. I made a thread about it when it came out last month, but it quickly fell off into oblivion

It wasn't call of duty, Madden, or NCAA, that's why.

i have it. i'm not a big fan of it Donkey Kong to begin with but my wife is, so needless to say we had to get it. One thing i have to say about it is that it has TONS of replay value. They made the puzzle pieces nearly impossible to get(a challenge is good) and almost every level you have to play over and over again, especially later into the game because some of them get ridiculously hard. There's so much stuff going on at one time that there's no way that you can pass most levels the first try. There's ALOT of trial and error.haha. It's fun though, and i completely agree about a new Sonic game.
