And when is the last team a Les Miles team played an entire season like a top 4 team in the country?

So your team should play based on what the coach is ranked on the pay scale? GTFO

Wait. Wait. You should pay your team on how they LOOK rather than the results?

The Mark of a #1 team is you win all your games no matter the score. Would you have taken a 1-3 point win in every game this year if you won them all?

Nick Saban makes almost $6M with all the add ins.

If I were Bama, I'd be asking for a refund, bowl or no bowl.

This goes against everything that the Miles haters believe

In some cases yes. If your team keeps playing like crap but catches all of the breaks (missed FG's, good bounces, etc), sooner or later the law of averages will catch up. And that's what happened in Fayetteville. There was no 13 men on the field to bail us out. Driving 4 yards for a 21 yard field goal is not good enough. Giving up 80 yard td's on the last play of the half will get you beat.

This one season alone, that is true. If we look at a larger sample size (the last few seasons) that is not true.

You men the arbitrary larger sample size that just suddenly stops when you want it to and ignores whole body of work?

No..not in any case. Teams have up and downs...it happens. And it has nothing to do with how much the coach is paid.

You left out how well the defense, special teams, o-line, and running backs played throughout the season. That's the reason LSU won 10 games this year. The team didn't play like crap.....one part of the team did.

You guys have been saying that for 5 years with Miles. It's never really happened. You guys think just because he's "lucky" that it's all going to just collapse on him. I understand that you're all waiting on a 5-7 season and you've been waiting on it for a LONG time.....but it just doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Oh, that wasn't just being outplayed? It was just all the "lucky" breaks catching up with him? You can't lose to a very good team without having something to blame and cry over?

No kidding. It happened and it's done with.

So we go back to the games you were complaining about.....who won those games? Like I said, all that matters is RESULTS. Regardless of how you get there. His results was a 10 win season whether you liked it or not. Period.

I can't argue with much of that.

When you help coach the Offense and they rank 100th OR WORST 2 YEARS IN A ROW, YOU ARE OVERPAID.

No credit for overcoming a less than mediocre offense and finishing with 10 wins in the SEC?

I did like it. But living on the edge can turn a 10 win season to a 7-8 win season next time.

Keep in mind most private schools do not publish the stats on coaching salaries. It was rumored that Pete Carroll was up around six million a year when he left USC. Not saying Kiffen is anywhere near that but Kelly at ND may be near the top.
