A little info from a friend....

Let me preface by saying my friend has some very solid contacts at a couple of universities of interest, LSU & Michigan. After speaking with them he told me the following:
Michigan has every intent of firing RR, but there is some language in his contract that allows Michigan to save a couple million $$$ by waiting until Jan 1 to let him go. Their first choice is Harbaugh and second is Miles.
Currently as it stands at LSU Les isn't letting anyone go, including Crowton. Unless Crowton gets hired away he'll be back next year.

I'd say your friend must be a very powerful person. Like an associate of both AD's...or maybe a common prostitute for both the school's presidents

I don't know you to lie, pope-boy, but I know your friend not.

I've heard from other places that Michigan will not make a move regarding Rich Rod til after the 1st for that very reason. They save close to two million dollars by doing so.
I do nor know anything else regarding the HC job at Michigan, although I do know as I'm sure many do, that if Lloyd Carr has any influence over who is hired, it will not be Les Miles.

I think this mindset has changed significantly after watching RR for the last 3 years. By comparison ol' Les looks pretty appealing.
I just hope that if it does happen it doesn't go down after Jan 1 .... a la Nick Saban.... where we get screwed trying to pick up the left-over coaching scraps.

If this is true, Les needs to do all that he can to get the Michigan gig, take Gary with him, and the LSU powers that be need to make a trip over to Fort Worth and open up the checkbook for Gary Patterson.

So 3 years of bottom ranks on offense leads to ZERO coaching changes. I like Miles, but the fact he doesnt want to change obvious things makes me "have a want" to hate him

I could accept this, Pelini did great things with our defense and has Nebraska relevant again, although their jump to the Big 10/11/12 may make things a little more difficult for them. Who the hell wants to go spend 4 years in Lincoln, NE???
