Without the aid of a Bowl Game in 2001, looks like he had 1.

Miles has 4 without counting Bowls..3 in 5 seasons...interesting.

So Saban also was racing in an Impala with a V4 and building it up.

Miles accquired a Porsche with a V8 and just had to maintain it.

Hey look. No one cares.

Why can't people appreciate what both did for the program.

With a 12 game schedule in 2004, it would have been ten wins, assuming that game was another cupcake.

What is wrong with you people? Let it fricking go.

And if you can't, at least have a good argument. Know 11 game schedules versus 12 games schedules.

For what it's worth, not very many V4s exist and only a small portion of Porsches actually have V8s.

Regardless, I get your analogy. I agree to some extent. The first few years Miles was here, he inherited some star players and made the best use of them. It still took 4 years for him to develope the younger ones and eventually end up in the NC.

And fast-forwarding to now I think things are different. LSU struggled the year following the title and a lot of improving had to be implemented. Miles took it upon himself to find a good DC, which he surely did. The offense needs improvement and has needed it for a while but that will eventually be resolved. LSU being stapled as a powerhouse in the country (when not being overlooked or laughed at) definitely helps with recruitment. But, Miles has been developing all of his own players since the ones he got from Saban have departed. The guy can recruit the hell out of players. Although, he has had plenty of difficulty developing offensive leaders, which can possibly attributed to Crowton's terrible schemes. I think if Crowton is gone next season (which is still to be determined), we will potentially improve the one facet of our game that needs improving and can STAY with the top teams in the country the whole way through.

I stand behind Miles if he ends up sending Crowton on his way.

Cool stat! FYI- Saban had some phenomenal players that Dinardo recruited for him.. Dumb argument. Both good coaches just different philosophies. I like the grass eating Miles now. Saban is a bit of a baby on the sidelines.

Here we go with this Saban/Miles shite again.

Bottom line -

Miles is 2-2 vs Saban
3-3 vs Meyer

And Miles has beaten numerous other Top flight coaches.

Now please, STFU.

I love when stupid fricks try to compare the two. They just choose to ignore the fact that the two situations were completely different.

Congrats Hitchcock. You get more retarded with each post.

Exactly.

LSU went 4-7 and 3-8 in 98 and 99. You're just not going to win 10 the next season.

LSU won 10 games in 2001. I don't get not counting the Sugar Bowl.

LSU easily wins 10 games in 2002 is Mauck doesn't get hurt. Kind of like Miles and Perrilloux in 08 and maybe 09.

LSU won 13 in 2003. And LSU would have won 10 in 2004 if we played a 12 game schedule.

Both Coached at LSU, TheBoob. If you want to call Bradie James & 3 NFL QBs. 2 NFL RBs and the others "Impalas" go ahead.

Really? Would he schedule Western Illinois the Division II scool again, like in 2003?

We know he can't beat powerhouses like UAB & UL(M)
