Every Tiger fan upset about yesterday should be thankful that.....

...North Carolina Tight End Zach Pianalto couldn't make either of two catches, the second being right into his hands with :06 left.
...our defense showed up against Vandy, who we led by 10-0 at halftime.
...our defense showed up against Moo State, who we led by 12-0 at halftime.
...Patrick Peterson gave us the 7 points we needed off a punt return to beat West Virginia 20-14.
...Tennessee was just a little more screwed up than us.
...the bounce lateral fake field goal went straight to Jasper, and Terrence Toliver made a great grab with :06 left versus Florida.
...Michael Ford found the endzone right at the end of the McNeese game, because 32-10 sure looked alot better than 25-10 versus a D2 school, who we led by 16-10 at half.
...Auburn somehow didn't embarrass us on the scoreboard after rolling up 526 yards, thank special teams and field position for that one.
...D. Peterson's end around, Nevis' fumble, Jasper kicking a clutch field goal right down the middle, or J.Lee's 3 and 13 pass to Randle, plenty to be thankful for in the Alabama game.
...once again our defense came to play, 31 of the 51 points versus ULM were scored after interceptions.
...Steven Ridley would not be stopped to take a lead versus Ole Miss with :44 left.
This has not been a Sugar Bowl caliber season. We have clawed our way through the season with healthy doses of luck added in key places. A 10-2 season with the opportunity to play in a major non-BCS bowl is something every Tiger fan should be excited about.

We certainly had our share of luck this year, but good defense and a running game don't qualify as luck.

Great Points! What does that say about this staff? After 3 disappointing years, I have had enough. The saying "I'd rather be lucky than good" would apply to this team. LSU didn't deserve to go to the Poulan bowl or whatever it is called. F this coaching staff. They all deserve to be fired.

I agree that Steven Ridley has been a monster.

Only and LSU fan would call for the coach's head after a 10-win season.

We finished 10-2 with no qb, not bad really. They exceeded my expectations.

You are absolutely correct, Sir!

Me too!!
I can't take any more undeafeated home football seasons or 10-2 records or seasons with wins over Florida and Bama or being nationally ranked and going bowling.
The pain of such seasons is just too much for me to bare!! OHHHHHHHHHH POORRRRR MEEEE!!! WILL IT NEVER END!!!!
Lighten up, Franis.

10-2 and fire the coaching staff? We didn't win games the right way? Come on man, up until Fridays games we were in a position, with a lot of things that had to happen that were out of our control, to possibly slip into the NC game. Check with Texas or Florida fans if you want something to complain about.

It was a dream most of you were smoking. Now that they are 3rd in the SEC west how do you REALLY feel? Forget the fact that Bama lost 22 players from last years team and still were in every game. Our coaching staff didn't give us what we needed after 2 VERY POOR SEASONS! The Bad QB IS OUR COACHES FAULT! Anyone disagreeing with the QB play not being our coaches fault, PLEASE STAND UP AND GIVE ME 1 REASON WHY IT ISN'T? Either recruiting or NO DEVELOPMENT? Why wasn't Barksdale sat yesterday if it was b/c of pressure? why did we try that stupid toss, run up the middle shite at teh goal line 5 or 6 times? it worked once when ridley willed his way through? Why was PJ snapping that shite the way he was in critical situations? No Discipline! No discipline in tackling against Arky, Au and Ole Piss? See any simalarities? LSU has a shitty D against more sophisticated O's. Get the F'ing Pic?

yesterday's loss was just like every other game this season, only without the luck. LSU just couldn't pull out that dropped TD by Arkansas or that 13th player on the field like Tennessee.

FWIW - I don't smoke, but wished I did watching that garbage on the field yesterday. Smoking was a reference to how pathetic this coaching staff has made this talent look. It is a shame how they can take our young men and ruin them with all of the money we funnel into that dept.

it is what it is bro. Ar-kansas just didn't make enough mistakes for LSU to win.

Not a dream, friend, reality. Do you not remember what had to happen in 03 and 07 for us to get in? The chance was there.
You can't coach a QB to get it, they have been trying for 3 years. He won't, he doesn't seem to understand checks, protecting the football, and when to eat the ball and don't ground it.
We haven't recruited well at QB? Chris Garrett...left because his scholarship was pulled because of lack of effort. Zach Lee..$$$$. Jefferson was a 4 star and so was Jarrett Lee. Hopefully Mettenberger was watching yesterday and realizes, hey I can play there. And don't think he won't if he steps up. Les has shown this year if you can play, you will.

quote:this could be said about every miles coached team at lsu. it just didn't start this year.
We have clawed our way through the season with healthy doses of luck added in key places.
without some very fortunate plays, miles could have just as easily been 22-18 rather than 34-6 after his first three seasons.

The "F'ing Pic" I get is that you are a doom and gloomer who sees a 10-2 record with a bowl game to go as a reason to piss and moan bout LSU football.
That's your right and it's my right to call BS on that and tell you to lighten up, Francis.
The LSU football played hard this season, played though some short comings, and finished the regular season one game short of having an elite type season.
Their efforts deserve better than having a jerk like you 2nd guess their entire season cause they could only go 10-2 while playing in one of the toughest conference divisions in college football.
You have a better team than you are a fan.

Or if.....

or if....
Where in the fu ck do you live? Fantasy land?
You could play that childish game with any coach at any school in any year.
This is stupid.

Everyone should actually read the game box score, in particular PP's average return yardage on kicks and AR's net kick yardage to really recognize what PP was doing for the offense. The O absolutely stunk the second half. It made me think back to 2007 when LSU had great field position in the first half and couldn't convert multiple possessions into TD's and subsequently lost.
