Frankly, I think he's an albatross around the Raptors' necks between that contract and his defensive capabilities.

Trade is now official.

"No. Early word is they'll be eligible to play Monday at Clippers. RT @chrisdhslsu do new players suit up for Sunday's game?"

I guess MT will get big minutes versus the Kings

And the man, the myth, the legend Aaron Gray will suit up!

I only read the 1st page of this thread, but why in the world is virtually everyone thinking this is a bad trade for the Hornets???

This trade set us up very nicely in multiple ways.

Right now, I'm not questioning a head coach and front office that is 10-1 and has put together an overhaul on this team and made them look like legit contenders...if this ends up being a great trade, it is certainly one of the most well put offseason and season's worth of trades of any team I've ever seen without getting huge names like lebron.

The Hornets improved their playoff odds and slipped under the luxury tax, saving almost $11 million dollars that they can now spend in the summer. They got the best player in the deal. They get another pick and pop option that can rebound too. Quincy Pondexter can now take over as the full time backup 3. And an already stellar defense figures to get that much better.

Dell Demps: yep, still doing it.

Right after it happened I didn't like it think we could get something bigger for peja's contract. Looking at it now I'm happy we got Jack (should be even less drop off when cp takes a break) and more length with Anderson.

Same here. We all overreacted as usual. Then actually broke down the deal and realized it was really solid

Since Jack is seemingly the main player in this trade, how good is he? What does he bring to the table for us? Is he just considered another player to use as possible bait for another player in the future? TIA

I don't know a ton about Jack but think of it like this, we just negated losing DC. We once again have a starting caliber PG as our backup. He can hit the 3 ok, 35% career 41% last season, and while his 4 assists per game are low for a starter, he's got a decen 2:1 assist:turnover ratio. He supposedly plays decent defense too and it sounds like the CP3 BFF rumors are true. This move addresses a need and should make Chris Paul feel even more comfortable as a Hornet.
