you gotta have a waiter, ask for Billy and say Charlie and Bill sent you.Tell the gal t as soon as you walk in so you can sit downstairs. It is a learned experience and you'll have a GREAT time.

I highly recommend the pompano amandine - one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had.

Godchaux Salad, shrimp remoulade, any fish dish, turtle soup, very good bread pudding, good wine list and believe it or not they do a very good NY strip and ribeye.

Don't let the naysayers discourage you. It's a great place and they do all of it well. It's no more expensive than any other restaurant in it's class and less than some others.

Galatoire's is all about the experience. The DO have a dress code, so wear a jacket.

Get the grilled pompano if they have it. They are best at fish IMO.

Don't get out to NOLA often so we want to make sure we don't screw it up.

You are having dinner at Galatoire's. You CAN'T screw it up unless you puke at the table.

call Billy as I suggested and set it up prior to going. I would gladly do it for you but if you establish the contact that is all important, just say Charlie and Bill. When you are ready for an Antoines entry I will gladly help you there as well. I love a GREAT dinning experience if you cannot tell :)

You should try Alinea in Chicago. It's just galaxies beyond anything down here.
