Souffle' potatoes w/ bernaise, oysters Rockefeller, Godchaux salad.

Fresh fish almondine is guaranteed money. Lamb chops are good but they usually give you one really nice one and one shitty one per order. Steaks are good. Or you can be safe and get the chicken Clemenceau or chicken bon femme (both are good, truthfully).

Pompano rocks if they have it.

If you want to go sort of old school ask for Richard who'll be drinking or John who'll give you the traditional, corny Cajun jokes . . . unless Richard died and I don't know it. Haven't been to Gal's in awhile.

Never eaten there Christmas but pretty much any night is an interesting crowd. At least at the bar. I have several friends who are very regular. So regular I call the bar to talk to them not their cell phones. I love the boiled brisket too.

Thanks for all of the advice.

We are going to dinner this evening (Friday).

If the gin and tonics (both pre- and post-dinner) allow my memory to function properly, I will post my thoughts/opinions on Saturday.

Thanks for all of the input.

Go PIOS!!! Go GENTS!!! but most importantly GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!
