So if Cam newton comes up ineligible with all of the supposed allegations auburn will b forced to vacate all there wins. That would put us as the front runner in the sec west , and if we win out we will go to sec championship.......correct??

Won't happen before bowl season or the SEC championship game.

We need to focus on beating Ole Miss and ArKansas first.

Not going to happen.

Do people really think the NCAA will finish this investigation in a month?

Do you not remember how long the Reggie Bush investigation lasted?

With the FBI involved, this could drastically speed things up some, but I agree not within a months time though.

Best you can hope for is that AU loses its last two games because they're distracted by this fiasco.

There will be no ruling deeming Newton ineligible by the end of this season. Hell, probably not for 2 years.

LSU needs to focus on winning out and grabbing a BCS spot. That may mean winning the SEC depending on what AU does, but LSU seemingly controls its BCS destiny regardless of AU's situation.

We got to get past Ark first that is playing the best football in the Sec right now. U are right. the investigation will take about 2 years.

"Hope" is not a viable course of action.

LSU needs to focus on winning each of the three remaining games. That's what it can control. Worrying about "what if" and "might be" is a waste of time and energy.

FWIW the NCAA moves slower than the LA Department of Motor Vehicles. Camzilla will be a starting QB in the NFL before they ever take action--if they end up finding anything substantive to begin with. I don't see any of this having an impact on the SEC or NCG this year.

Or they could voluntarily sit him in order to give the perception of "institutional control" when sanctions are handed out.

I don't see anything definative coming down from the NCAA within the next 3 days, 2 weeks, or 2 months. How long did it take for the Reggie Bush scandal at USC to conclude, 3 or 4 years?

The fact is the only way this Newton scandal affects LSU this season is if AU decides not to play him this weekend (unlikely). OR if the distraction is so great that AU can get it done against UGA.

I highly doubt the NCAA is going to come out and rule Newton inelligible and vacate AU's wins before December 4th. It's a little pathetic that LSU fans are thinking that we now have a chance to play in the SECCG or NC game because of this scandal. If Ole Miss or Bama was in our shoes, we would be laughing at how pathetic their fans were in trying to "backdoor" into the SECCG. I was at the AU game, I saw who won. AU may EVENTUALLY have to vacate the accomplishments of this season, but right now let's hope UGA and BAMA can help us out

NCAA could take time but if Auburn acts to protect itself (if the NCAA says it's not looking good - we have evidence) and sits Newton for remaining games - LSU could still win SEC. Heck - Georgia and Bama may beat Auburn...who knows what's going to happen - it's college football.

If it happens, it will most probably after the season. But if it does happen, then the school should be given the number of times they have been caught cheating over the years. The meltdown on the Plains would be astronomical.

Although I agree, I think the NCAA may be looking for an opportunity to get the egg of their face from the USC/BUSH thing.

If someone pops up with tape recorded evidence, like is being suggested exists, they could take quick action.

even with the tapes, ASKING for money is not against the rules. that won't be enough evidence. they need to prove that money changed hands
