Do we still get rid of our OC even if we go 10-2 or 11-1? I say yes. Our offense is what will keep us out of the NC game and maybe even a BCS bowl game.

No. Sorry. I've kept up support for Miles, but Crowton's offenses over the last two years have been unacceptable. When he calls decent plays and the team executes well, he looks like a genius. There just hasn't been enough of that to justify keeping him.

No way.

I say NO. See LSU vs. FL '97, and then the '98 season. One good win in 3 years doesn't cut it at LSU

Doesnt GC contract expire at the end of the year? I could see miles getting somone to run his offense.

Yes it expires. And even if we go 11-1 and avg 40 ppg here on out I'd say its too late and he has to go.

hate to say it but if GC wakes up and the offense clicks the next 3 games, how COULD u fire a coach if we go 11-1 and have a chance to go to the SEC and BCSNC?

I know I know, production, etc. But still, what if JJ becomes the trigger puller Crowton needs now and everything just falls into place?

Wonder what Mettenberger is thinking.

I'd hope we still get rid of him, an option play while we are trying to run out the clock? Really?

John Chavis' Defense is the reason LSU has won games this season, not Crowton.

GC needs to go coach high school someplace. He sucks as a collegiate-level OC.

I tell ya, I don't know what to think of GC. That 4th down play with the quick reverse to DP was pure wizardry...playcalling and execution at it's finest. Why is everything else so putrid. Dropped balls don't help...they've killed a lot of drives this year. Hard to say who that falls on...touch of the QB's pass, receivers, or coaching.

Our offense didn't give up over 400yds rushing and that's what will keep us out of the MNC game. Should we fire Chavis for this big let down?

I do think that this is GC's last year though.

Crowton's gone. Period.

The good news is miles is here to stay. But the bad news is miles is here to stay.

That was only one game. Our offense has stunk for the last 3 yrs.

i believe crowton's contract is up... it wont be renewed and we go a different direction.

i know that when we hired him we didnt look this far in the future but what if...

gary crowton said he could guarantee you a national title in your first year but for 3 years after you will struggle.

would you take it?

i would.

I don't think we need a gimmick offense. I always thought GC is a gimmick type of a coach that tries a pound the middle type of an offense. Mismatch in styles!

no. but i say throw out the bathwater and not the baby. my personal opinion, which could be wrong of course, is to let crowton and stud go. not sure what to do about gonzales.

Well of coarse it has but that's not the reason we are being left out of the MNC.

If it's GC or CLM"s fault I don't know who you blame but the reason our offense has sucked is because we haven't had a QB worth a damn since Flynn.

Maybe.....just maybe JJ has had it come together between his ears and he gets the offense. Say what you will but when we have a QB that knows what he is doing we can score on anyone.
