We've really had probably as good of a run as anybody in the last eight to ten years. Les has done a fantastic job here. His record speaks for itself in terms of what he's been able to accomplish. We continue to recruit well. We've got good players. We've got a great staff. We do a really good job of developing our players, and we are one of the premier programs in the SEC. We are what other SEC teams aspire to try to be.

Is this a dumb statement?

This where I went limp. Right away I think of our current QB situation.

Fair statement.

Meh, I wouldn't go as far as fantastic. I'd say good job over his full tenure. Fantastic means A+ and good means B+ to me.

Sure.

Remember, the baseline is NS recruiting. He locked down Louisiana. With that said CLM has recruited well.

Yep.

No. Maybe a good staff. The coaching on the offensive side of the ball needs some major upgrades. The stats back my statement up. If we could simply move our offensive production to the middle of the pack in the nation that would be a major upgrade IMO.

No. Especially on the offensive side of the ball. I believe LSU is starting to get the reputation that this is the place where five star recruits become four star players. It has to stop. The coaches need to do a better job of developing utilizing players ASAP.

Defensively - yes
Offensively - no
Special teams - yes

Pretty much what you're saying points leads to believe there is little to no room for improvement. But watching the games, it's another reality.

That's almost word for word what Saban was saying in the press this week.

Agree.

The "staff" has to take ownership of the poor offensive performance .

Yep. Granted, it's coachspeak, but much of it is dead on. And we're too spoiled a fanbase to realize it.

As far as our "good staff" goes CLM said it himself when asked what the staff is doing to better this team from the loss, "I don't think it's anything that we do well, our football players have character..." There you go, even les doesn't think his staff has done a great job
