Nice win for the Saints. The Steelers and Patriots are the standard bearers for the NFL. Victories over those franchies go a long way.

how many of you guys thought mendenhall got in on that I think 2nd down run??? I thought steelers should have challenged it.

I thought he scored. I was at a bar and didn't have access to DVR, but it sure looked questionable at best.

Agreed. I think the Atlanta game was their only poor performace.

I thought they were abused in SF, we survived on turnovers.

It was quite a defining moment for '10 so far.

The D has been approaching very good to dominant type play all season. The difference last night was they combined the opportunistic characteristic like last year with that type dominance.

“The defense is carrying us,’’ said Moore, who finished with a game-high seven catches. “There hasn’t been one game where the offense has showed up and done what we’re capable of.’’ LINK

With the D playing at this level, then Porter and Greer returning, the offense won't even have to get back to #1 status to dominate. Just move up to upper echelon and it could be a power run into playoffs. Let's see if they can put 2 solid ones back to back against a usually tough division rival next week first tho.

My parents were at the game. They said that once Charleston and Vilma stopped Mendenhal on third down the dome went absolutely ballistic!

if Pittsburgh actually called a smart play on first down, they would've been in.

FB dive up the gut? Really? thought i was watching LSU for a split second on first down.

Bruce Arians at his finest

How about calling a 6'5'' 240 lb Big Ben following Pouncey on a QB sneak

Shanle was outstanding last night.

Glad someone is giving him some love here. He gets bashed a lot but it's obvious when he's not in there. Dude still has game

Twice the Saints sent clear messages to the Steelers.

That run on 4th and 1 right at the Pitt D line

And then the GLS. Wow that was unreal. And yes I'm the idiot who thought the challenge was pointless.

I really enjoyed the whole affair from the red flag through 4th down. SP drew a line in the sand right there. How can you not love this team?

Let's face it.. The D looked good last night.. First time this season they looked good in my opinion.
With all due respect, your opinion is fricking stupid. The D has played outstanding the entire season considering how bad the offense has been. They can only do so much when they'reon the field all of the time. Please name one game that we've lost because of the Defense.
