How many of you have been to a midnight showing? If you did go did you take any of the standard props?

I went to one years ago and the people there were all into it and had the full range of props. It was weird, but fun.

Just so the thread is not a total waste here is Susan Sarandon in her bra.

I saw it a few times at The Varsity "back in the day." Yes that Varsity--it wasn't always a bar/concert venue.

Usually went with a group of people. There were always people dressed up, props, etc.

I loved the toast.

Me too, except that I went about 50-something times. That was our Friday night thing back when I was in high school--to go to the Midnight showing.

I never actually brought props or dressed up, but I knew people who did. I did know most of the lines shouted back at the screen though.

Yes, it's stupid & weird & gay, but it was a lot of fun back then.

To this day, whenever I see Susan Sarandon I think or say "Bitch!" and I think or say "a-hole!" whenever I see Barry Bostwick.

A girl I worked with asked me if I wanted to go with her to see a movie back in high school. So, being the nerdy kid I was, got dressed up nice and brought her flowers when I picked her up. She was just wearing a long black coat when I met with her.

She tells me that we were just going to a midnight showing of her favorite movie. Needless to say, I was very surprised that when we get there all of these people are dressed up very odd and my date commences to removing her coat revealing that she was just wearing lingerie.

I am now a rocky horror fan. for the silliness and the memories.

Went there more times than I can count but I think the first place that I ever saw it at was the Gentilly Orleans.

Wonder how many people have come up to Susan Sarandon over the years singing toucha toucha touch me?

ETA: can't believe that no one's mentioned rice yet.

One of my top 3 movies of all time-I actually watched it last night. Seen the movie about 30 times, know every word to every song and been to see the play once about 10 years ago @ Swine Palave for my bday. I've been dying to go again for the past few years, but being that its always shown on halloween and I have 2 kids, my halloweens are usually spoken for.

Same room, different lighting, cheap movie!

I do think its cool how this whole unintedned cult evolved around this movie, based on stupid puns and ironic comments. It's also amazing how many people in the movie went on to legit careers. I'm sure Tim Curry is thrilled this is the movie he'll always be remembered for.

That's where I saw it for the first time in high school. The movie's horrible, but the songs are great and the midnight showings are usually a ton of fun.

The movie itself can be entertaining but you really need to be watching it with a group of people are into having fun as well as trying to keep up with the movie. There is no way I could just sit down and watch it, especially when I have been to a show with the crowd going crazy and having all the props.

"Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me" and "Time Warp" are my favorite songs and closely followed by "Dammit Janet"
