about the best that we could hope for at this point?

personally, i'd be fine with that because i am fully expecting us to get throttled by bama, and edged out by arky.

we haven't beaten a good team yet this season, and i don't really see any reason to believe that things will be any different down the stretch.

BEAT OLE MISS!!! if les can't beat our biggest rival at home while they are basically a worthless football team, then he should be fired on the spot. (he should probably be fired anyway.)

Is the offense the only part of the game?

I think you're right. The D is still very good. Take away a heisman QB and we're good to go.

And you are basing this off of what? You ever watch Alabama's defense? We can't move the ball on McNeese, yet we will beat Alabama. I want what you are drinking.

What are the chances that we reverse the past couple of years?

Past couple of years we beat Auburn and lose to Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss. Maybe this year it goes the other way?

Bama will be a tight game, but a loss. Their running game will wear down our defense.

Don't see how we can score enough points to beat Ark at their place.

Ole Miss is our best shot at a win.

People are KILLING this coaching staff about the Auburn game but in reality, that game should have been a blowout on paper.

Define "good" team. WVU, MSU, and UF are all good teams. Probably on par with Arky.

LSU is 7-1 with one of the nations toughest schedules (go look at the computer rankings). You can criticize how we won, but can't say that we have a weak schedule

Smiley me all you want, Alabama will rape us. That's not negative, that real. We haven't faced a defense like theirs yet, and we have the 100th offense in the country.

I posted that this was a terrible matchup for us personnel wise. But I hoped we could throw some on them, we couldn't lucky it wasn't worse. We match up better vs. Bama and certainly with the rebel bears, but once again we have to throw it and we all know how that ends up. If we go 2-2 the rest that won't be to bad.

A team that doesn't lose to Syracuse at home or lose 3 in a row?

Explain last year with 112th ranked offense vs. the #1 defense. TIA

LSU's defense is BETTER this year and they match up better. The players get up for this game and it's at home. Alabama had everything that outclassed LSU the last two years and both years it came down to the end of the game.

You're giving Alabama's defense too much credit. They aren't as good as you think they are. No where near last year's defense. Watch a game or two.

i just don't see how and where LSU will be able to move the ball, especially if the gameplan will continue to be ultra conservative.

you had your chances to be aggressive against that auburn secondary and you don't take advantage of that?

MSU is good team then. Hell if that is your definition, so is UNC.

I don't understand the idea that people equate losing to Ole Miss the last two years to the situation this year.

The last two years Ole Miss has finished in the top 25. They also had well known play makers. This year not so much.

These two years are not comparable and I don't get it.

Not sure what they were thinking with the offensive gameplan with Auburn. All I know, is for some reason, is LSU plays their best game vs. Alabama the last couple of years.

Hopefully, they'll come up with something. I know that's asking alot of Crowton, but we'll see.

I think the defense matches up MUCH better than Auburn.
