sons I come from Spurstalk.com, was banned from HornetsReport, but I am excited about TigerDroppings. However I am not too excited about the Hornets this season. I am hopeful, but unfortunately we must be realistic. Here are a few of my predictions and I hope I am dead wrong,

- Chris Paul traded at the deadline

- Peja traded at the deadline

- Okafor traded at the deadline

- Finish the season 28-54

- average home attendance 9,200

- ownership transfer never takes place

- Shinn again looks at options to move the team

whats up?

FWIW I think CP3 stays
Peja and Oak are traded for better players
Shinn and his cabal are gone by mideseason
we finish 50-32 and get the 5 spot in the first round....

but we're about to see....

Son, welcome to the board.

Your predictions are wrong, however. Hornets going all the way SON

Not possible. Chouest has a nice poison pill buyout clause. Shinn can't sell the team unless Chouest gets bought out which Shinn can't afford to do. Chouest holds all the cards and he can buy the team when he wants and it can't get moved or sold to someone else unless he agrees to it.

Not very likely. Carmelo gains money by breaking out early, CP3 has no leverage to move this year and he would lose money by breaking out early next year. Don't assume he'll be Carmelo II because their circumstances relative to the new CBA are different.

We'll see. Demps seems to be trying, but I don't think Peja gets us much in return.

- Okafor traded at the deadline

I hope he gets traded before then.

The team would have to be pretty bad to have attendance drop from 14000ish to 9000ish.

Who knows, but like I said, Chouest holds all the cards and this team sure isn't run like the old Shinn organization. Either God told him to stop being a jack arse or he knows he won't be with the team much longer and told Demps to do what needed to be done.
