Yes, we gave up too many yards.

But we were in the game until the end. Total yards means nothing. He tried to make them drive the length of the field. Yes it was conservative. That's the point. Don't give up big plays - keep it close on the road.

If your offense can't score 24 against that D, your problem is not defense. The D is the only reason we had a shot at winning up until the last drive.

I'd have to say the D hung in and you're right we had a chance to tie it up at the end. Not to mention, the were out of gas after all the lack of drives in the 2nd half

the defense was a bit dis appointing, but if we had an offense Aubarn doesn't score 24.

Watch the game again. They had a lot of big plays on us. He should have made some kind of adjustment and tried to bring 8 or 9 in the box. FORCE THEM TO THROW!

I can't agree with you. The defensive scheme was poor and our offense didn't contribute enough.

There were a number of plays where LSU had "six in the box" and the other five players were too spread out. Was Chavis afraid of Newton's passing and not his running skills? I would have played the run and forced him to pass.

+1

I still love this team I just wish we had a OC that could help the D.

Look, the defense is the reason LSU was undefeated up until now. But Chavis' gameplan sucked. He gambled on laying back, and lost. Of course, he could've dialed up a blitzing, attacking, aggressive, crowd the line of scrimmage defense, and LSU still could've lost. But I'd rather go down fighting. Still, the score was within reach deep into the 4th quarter and the offensive incompetence finally caught up w/ LSU. Chavis is not the longterm problem. Crowton is. If Miles doesn't make a change, then HE is.

Played in fear of cam instead of playing confident in what we do

Really? Can't bitch?

Didn't Auburn make more rushing yards against LSU than any other SEC opponent so far this year (or at least that is what SI said).

I'd think that is grounds for at least a little bitching.

They did about three times and scored.

They gave up about 5 big plays of over 25 yards apiece. We got fricking gashed all night.

That's bull....

Chavis' gameplan was apparently to sit back and let Newton run into the open arms of our linebacks so we could tackle him.

This game reminds me of 07 when ALL Arkansas had was McFadden. We KNEW he was going to run the ball and still didn't stop it.

Pitiful.

our punter was our best defense. Our boys were not good today, not at all.

Yeah, that was our plan. Chavis' had the Auburn offense on the field so much we tired them out, and only gave up 24 points in the process.

Newton was gasping for breath at the end of each run in that last drive, because he was so worn out by our defensive gameplan. Great defensive gamplan IMO
