It's against my religion to attend a party of any kind during an LSU game unless the party is for an LSU game.

My wifes BFF had her wedding on the day of the LSU bama game last year. My wife wanted to kill me because I kept checking the score on my phone during the wedding and reception. I was like frick them, they are lucky I am even at the wedding.

This year I am in a different pickle. My son could be born any day now. Wife is due today, and I have a gut feeling he will be born saturday during the LSU Auburn game. Please pray for me.

My wife and I got married on October 10th of this year. When she originally planned the wedding, the date was scheduled for October 9th. I told her the day needed to be moved becuase it was the day of the Florida game. She balked. I told her well if the date is not moved to the 10th, I may not be there. Date was moved to the 10th.

got married for SC away in 2008, had several big TVs at my reception, and the ceremony was in the daytime, so nobody missed kickoff.

Wasn't so bad and nobody missed that was expected to show.

Free food, drink and the game. Really not that bad. Though on a home game sat. is insane.

See my sister was due Sat, but ended up having it yesterday. So I was lucky. Best of luck to you though. Hope the little bogger comes either sooner or after.

I have told my family that if I die during football season that the funeral should not interrupt the tailgating.

I can't imagine that going well with a wife in labor and trying to watch a football game.

I hope he comes before. That would be perfect.

I am getting married next Saturday. As an upstanding LSU Fan I had to revolved my wedding ceremony around gamedays and schedule it on a bye week.

Two men were setting in the upper deck of Tiger Stadium when one stood up and removed his hat. The other asked why his friend had done what he had done. "There was a funeral procession down there on the street" he replied. "So" his friend stated. Then the mourning Tiger said "It was my wife's funeral. It's the least I can do"

You were at least considerate, and kudos to your wife for agreeing this. I know some women who've gone berserk at the reception because people aren't paying attention because she was too proud to do something like you did for the game. Everyone instead would huddle up at a vehicle or a portable radio while the reception was going on.

We don't do fall weddings in our family. Even if it's a bye week, road game, night game, lesser opponent, etc, most of your future anniversaries will conflict.

We also strongly discourage fall births (which lead to fall birthday parties), although fall conceptions are permitted.

All the churches in Columbia, SC were solid booked during the Gamecock bye week. They made a big deal of it on the news. Cocks starting to act SEC.
