Baseball update from last week...

Anyone else attending? I'm excited to see how Jacoby Jones and the catching position does.
Usually - they start on time, but they were well into the fourth inning by the time I got there around 4:30. So, I obviously don't have any numbers. I will post them when they are posted.

It's at 4:30PM. I think they have an earlier practice.
I usually don't attend many during football season, but it's a Thursday evening and I'm anxious to see how things are going.

Are the new bats for sure this year or will they stick with the old bats? Really dont want it changed

Stats per LSU Facebook Page from several scrimmages
Scrimmage Leaders from Monday, Oct. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 12
· Raph Rhymes went 4-for-5 with a double
· Austin Nola went 2-for-3 with a double and triple
· Trey Watkins blasted a home run
· Sophomore pitcher Kevin Berry and freshmen pitchers Kevin Gausman and Kurt McCune all threw three hitless innings. Berry recorded three strikeouts while Gausman and McCune each had four.
LSU Baseball Fall Scrimmage Leaders from last week:
· Mikie Mahtook went 4-for-8 with a double, triple, and 3 RBI
· Trey Watkins went 4-for-8
· Tyler Hanover went 4-for-11 with 5 RBI
· Austin Nola went 3-for-7 with a double and RBI
· Jimmy Dykstra pitched three scoreless innings while striking out three
· Kevin Berry and Michael Reed each pitched three scoreless innings
Several Freshmen had good weeks:
· Catcher Ty Ross went 4-for-9 with 3 RBI
· Ryan Eades went 3-for-8 with a double and triple
· Kevin Koziol went 4-for-8 with a double and 3 RBI
· Samuel Peterson pitched three scoreless innings
Through five fall scrimmages team leaders on offense include:
· Mikie Mahtook: 6-for-11 with six stolen bases
· Tyler Hanover: 4-for-11 with four stolen bases
