Looking at a used 2009 328I with 16k miles. The are asking 31500. Realistically what should I expect to get?

Another factor to consider is if they left the dealer invoice on the window. This increases the price dramatically.

Realistically, if you pay them $31,500.00 you should expect to get a used 2009 bmw 328i.

I have a 325 and love it except for the fact that its a chick car. So just realize that...You can get an 06 M5 for around 36k FWIW.

Meh. Not really. Depends on the car I guess. Only thing that really breaks on them is the window motors and clips on the sunroof.

This doesn't do much as the price in this car off the lot can vary by 10k depending on options.

Replace the AC and see what that runs you. I am sick of hearing my neighbor bitch about it.

With that said, my dad has had two new BMW's the last 10-Yrs with no problems, but he did get rid of them around 50k miles.

Aren't the oil changes >$100 and can only be done at the dealership?

I have had to do that and granted it wasn't cheap. but in the 5 years I have owned the car that has been the only real expense besides brakes and normal wear and tear. I bought mine with 30k on it and am now at 110k and if that 2k is all I have to spend on fixing stuff that isn't bad.

Yes the oil change at the dealer is about 150 but it is every 15k miles so

I owned a 2003 328i about 5 years ago. Absolutely loved it!! Its like sex on wheels for sure.

Oil changes are extremely pricey and so is other maintanence. Also gotta purchase special tires, etc. Cant just go anywheres for a new one.

I think thats pretty typical with a luxury car though. But I honestly wouldnt have it any other way.

Why do people buy bottom line cars of luxury cars?

Why not buy a King Ranch for $29,000 and get more puss?
