GAM is Eddie Johnson. When asked which games he played, he responded:

I don’t play video games. I’m a grown-arse man.

ETA: I'll get to work on a Soccer Board FAQ

"I don't play video games. I'm a grown-arse man." With that quote, the legend of GAM (Grown-arse Man) was born. Eddie Johnson, one of the young stars of the USA, is about to take his grown-arse to Germany, where he hopes to make an impact on the biggest stage in sports.
-From some soccer blog

For the record, this GAM was born March 31, 1984 (age 26)

Nothing seemed to click until there was almost no time left on the clock. 20 more minutes and we would have found a goal, but BB's starting lineup/formation seemed to have no chemistry.

Am I the only one that wants to see Jones and Edu without Bradley? Hell, I'd like to see Jones and Holden in the center. I know it won't happen unless Bradley breaks his leg, but still...

I'm not really anti-Bradley. I just don't think he's good enough for the PT he gets.

I think Bradley is plenty talented for the minutes he gets, but I would like to see a US match featuring another center mid.

He's talented, but inconsistent. Is he that much more talented than the other options at center mid to where he's an automatic starter and unsubable? Absolutely not.

I think Bradley is the second best player on the team behind Donovan. He certainly had the second best World Cup.

He's not nearly as inconsistent as he was when he first started getting caps.

Agree to disagree. His workrate is phenomenal. And he is the only one of our midfielders that can pass forward from deeper positions. His passing percentage last year in the Bundesliga was 75%, a very solid clip.

At the same time seeing a team without Baby Bradley would be interesting. But it's not like dropping Bradley would automatically improve the midfield.

If you drop the England game, sure.

He was the best player in the second half against England. Ever heard of Frank Lampard? Bradley made him invisible during the England match.

Didn't he also play extremely well against Xavi in the Confederations Cup?

What exactly does Edu bring to the table?
