That play should haave never happened. I put all the blame on Crowton. 1st goal you give it to ridley, or if you're going to throw a fade, throw it to someone who isnt 5ft 10. It wasnt a good pass by Lee, but then again Ridley turned so early the cornerback had time to look at ridleys eyes, turn his body around and make the int. Either way, it shouldnt have happened at all

and if we had ran into the line people would be bitching about not doing some PA pass.

good play call, bad execution(or really good execution by the UT LB'r)

I thought the INT was every bit the receiver's fault as Lee's...he didn't seem to fight very hard to get inside. Maybe a height issue? (Need to watch that again...)

You are asking the wrong question. Why in the name of F*** are we throwing a jump ball to our 6 foot RB when we have plenty of 6'5" RECEIVERS? Good call Gary.

1. Bad play call in the first place.
why throw the fade to a RB when Tolliver could out-jump everyone else on the field.

2. Bad Throw
it was an outside shoulder throw that was made to the inside shoulder. Bad placement.

3. Ridley should have been on the defensive.
tackle the LB if you have to, DO NOT let him make that play. any penalty would have been better than the INT.

It's all true. But that is a matchup we would like to get every time if possible. OUr rb man to man with a LB trying to cover him. But maybe it would work better with Murphy or any other taller good-catching back.

Pass was short and inside or it was thrown a little late and room was running out.

Great matchup design, maybe wrong personnel to run it with the restrictions of the end zone area

He shouldn't have thrown it to Ridley. It looks like Randle was breaking open in the corner and TT had single coverage with a defender so he might have been open as well, it's just hard to tell from the video - LSU vs TENN Highlights @ LSU Sports. Around the 2:45 mark.

It was a bad pass, not much he could have done. My guess is that like everything else we have seen lately that this isn't practiced much and Ridley doesn't understand how to play like a receiver.

I can't find any video of the play, but I'm almost positive the route was a wheel route...not a fade. I also remember him being open right away, so a quicker pass by Lee would have worked out well.

Again, I couldn't find video of the play, but it was not a fade.

Correct I don't know why these idiots are calling it a fade. And it was wide open right away. Bad pass by Lee.

why the hell would you throw a wheel to your 5'10 225 hb in the redzone instead of a fade witha 6'5 wr????

It was a bad pass. Ridley had position had the ball been properly placed. His only option was to tackle the defender before the interception, but he didn't get that done. As for a pass to Ridley, he has great hands so it's not a terrible idea, but the execution of this attempt was poor.

If Lee would have thrown it right away, Ridley was open and it would have worked. I liked the play call....didn't like the execution.

No, not at all. He's a RB and we barely throw to him. He was shorter than the defender and tried to jump to the inside where it was thrown. It was supposed to be thrown beyond Ridley and toward his left shoulder.
