People keep talking up Lee and how well he "moved" the offense, but I found this interesting:

Total Yards while JJ was QB: 223
Total Yards while Lee was QB: 197

Okay, so JJ got 83 on one play... Lee also picked up 47 on one play. Take both of those out and it's 150 to 140 Lee to JJ.

While JJ was in the game:

Ridley - 10 carries for 86 yards

While Lee was in the game:

Ridley - 12 carries for 37 yards

JJ plays: 32
Lee plays: 37

Yards per play with JJ: 6.97 yards per play
Yards per play with Lee: 5.32 yards per play

Throwing out shortest and longest for each player:

Average drive length with JJ: 5.5
Average drive length with Lee: 5.66

With longest and shortest included:

Average drive length with JJ: 5.3
Average drive length with Lee: 7.4

Obviously the running game is more effective with JJ in the game. Perhaps that's why he is starting Saturday....

How many plays did each get?

What was the yards per play?

How many 3 and outs did each preside over?

How many monster runs did Ridley break off when JJ was behind center? Those stats are extremely misleading.

The offense looked better with Lee in, period. He was 7 of 9 on the game winning drive, while Jefferson completed all 3 of his passes on a single drive. Lee is more of a passing threat, and that's what we will need to win at Florida. Just my opinion.

that was the most JJ-bias stat presentation ever. Are you going to be his agent when he plays in the arena league?

JJ got 2/3rds of the snaps (or more)...ergo, you fail in your analytical assessment. Try again, please.

Jefferson got more yards per play than Lee did.

Even counting the two plays at the end of the game for Jefferson.

I have different stats, but I come to the same general conclusions:

When Jefferson was QB, LSU rushed for 194 yards on 22 carries. That's almost a 9 yard average.

When Lee was QB, LSU rushed for 25 yards on 14 carries. That's not even a 2 yard average.

The results don't change much even if you take out Jefferson's 83 yard run: LSU rushed for 111 yards on 21 carries. That's a 5.29 yard average.

With Jefferson as QB, LSU runs 32 plays for 224 for a 7.00 yard/play average.

With Lee as QB, LSU runs 37 plays for 210 for a 5.68 yard/play average.

* NOTE: I haven't double checked my numbers. I may have mistake on a play. These are only preliminary calculations.

Dan, its a single game. Its not enough of a baseline for Lee. I also doubt teams are focusing on JJ for the running game, thus giving Ridley a couple less defenders to worry about.

better stat would be time of possesion while each was in the game. JJ's offense goes 3 and out faster than anything ive seen, plus JJ had more series than did JL if i remember correctly
