Yeah, the student section is really sucking lately. They have to add some kind of profanity to all the songs, so the band stops playing the songs and they can't figure out why.

Back in 2001 there were these three assholes that sat a few rows in front of us that started doing that. And they added the "woooooooooo" to second down which i think is the absolute gayest thing i've ever heard.

That's one of the gayest things to me, it got added my senior year. Glad I got out when I did just because of that.

First off I have been going to games for 15 years and have never heard "and beat the shite out of them". I believe you mean "kick their arse". That is said by 3/4 of the fan base not just the student section.
Give me a break. While the student section is getting a little out of hand with the band songs. The rest of the fan base is not much better considering what I heard after the failed snap to end the game on Saturday.

...and when dinosaurs roamed the earth in 87 a cheerleader was shown on TV saying "arse-holes, arse-holes, hahahahaha" which is what the student section yelled during a part of the fight song (also banned). they played it after extra points - there was a whole other section after the 1 note (after PAT made)

the entire student section basically yells, "kill their arse", but a few groups of students also add "and beat the shite out of them"...not many people do it, just a few idiots

It's a football game, not a tea with the Queen. All students and 95% in attendance are adults. "You suck" is pretty tame compared to prime time network TV.

Drunk young adults will always think of something to add to any song the band plays. The only real solution to this scourge is to either ban the band, or ban the students. Then we can all have a nice little quiet, peaceful game of football.

Came in around 01-03. Only a few select lame pricks used it and thought it was cool. It was a failed attempt, but I guess they won bc "wooooo" caught on like the f'n plague.

ive been going to games all my life, and this is my 4 year in the student section. and i will never understand the fascination with adding profanity into every song the band plays. theres really no need for it except to make a freshman frat boy giggle.
