Like 300 first fry and say 360 second fry?

Yes, something like that. Maybe 320, 360. The idea is to get them translucent without starting to brown them, but too low a temp will produce a soggy result. Unfortunately my wife throws a fit when i start deep frying shite, so it has been a while since i made anything deep fried. My gf hates the fried foods too, so I am catching it from all sides. Its terrible brah.

If you ate some where nobody knew what they were doing?

eat some that were blanched in oil, cooled, and then fired and it will ruin you for life.

Especially if they are fried in duck fat. Lightly tossed while still scorching hot with either sea or kosher salt. Ridiculously good.

Myself...

Got the Fried Aligator tacos and orange basil black tea.

Unreal....

The lines never stopped. I swear, some friends and I got some drinks in hopes that the lines would let up, and when I got back it was twice as long so we went to get some more drinks, came back and the same as it was. I couldn't believe the turnout, but once I decided to get in line and gut it out it really wasn't that bad. I moved pretty quick considering all the people. Food was simply out of sight.

well, maybe it was an off night because everyone I talked to was raving about them and the burgers tonight, and the burgers really did look incredible.

True, but cool as shite man. It was packed, but everyone I spoke with was super. I'm sure it had to do with everyone being little foodies and pretty much looking for the same thing, bang out food, but it really was a pretty cool gathering, and fun. This is the cool crowd of BR IMO, people who know what's up and are into it. That might yet have been ground zero for the new food revolution. Oh well, maybe I'm being a little dramatic, but it's a real start. I'm pumped about this. Low overhead and people who are trying to put out the best products they can and be creative with it, learning as they go. It's super cool IMO. Shake up the damn establishment and make them scared.

I thought the same thing. No drama, everyone cool as shite. Looked out and saw 75 across the street all sitting down in the grass munching away. Got to see a lot of old friends, and like you said, a bunch of foodies all in one area.
I'm gonna talk to the others, but I think it goes without saying we all need to be out there again every time the salon cuts till 12. Was the most fun I've had in a long arse time.

Y'all need to call Micah at the salon and tell him y'all want us back on a regular basis. We will all be happy to come back even bigger and better next time.
