1. Used the pocket
2. Made quick decisions
3. Threw the ball accurately, hit guys in stride
4. Distributed the ball amongst all receivers
5. Kept his head, great attitude when he was pulled on the GL
6. Didn't throw tantrums when faced with adversity
7. Most importantly, made clutch CLUTCH throws

Our offense looked as it should with him in the game. Other than a couple of goofs (penalties, breakdowns in protection, etc.), I would even dare to say that it looked like a perfectly run offense.

Jordan Jefferson can run, but he is neither a good quarterback or a strong leader. The guy just exudes negativity in every way.

Jarrett Lee is our quarterback. If Miles fails to see this and continues to give snaps to JJ, that will be completely unforgivable.

He's especially skilled at running the option

yea i get it but I felt it needed to a main point bc JJ cannot hit that pass to save his life and it turns out it is JL's money play.

Other than the INT and the ball he threw off his back foot that sailed and landed 15 yards behind his receiver, he looked great. In no way was he perfect, but it is clear he gives us the best chance to win.

When the playbook is more diverse when your backup QB is in the game, he ain't your backup QB.

The fact we only run 10 plays with JJ in the game says everything.

He's especially skilled at running the option although the "pitch" part of the option is always a failure.

Not to mention he played half a game and threw for 180 yards.

To put it in perspective, JJ has had 202 yards passing in the past 3 games.

I was just happy to see a QB look around the field and have his eyes move off his primary receiver.

The J Lee of 2008 didnt do that.

His pocket awareness looked improved too.

The toss up in the middle of knowwhere was his worst play.

He tossed way too many balls off his back foot. I hope to God that he catches that on film and corrects it before the next game.

+1000

Also, anyone else notice that we seemed to have an identity on offense when Lee was at QB?

You might be close to right in saying our offense was close to being stellar this weekend. We were 5 mistakes short of hanging at least 10-14 more on TN:

D. Peterson fumble
Barksdale false start
JJ Int #1
JL Int
Holding call negating Ridley 1st Down in the Redzone

These are all player issues which can easily be corrected. If it weren't for that abomination of an ending I might be singing the praises of Crowton this morning.

No doubt.

The read option needs to be scrapped when Lee is playing.

He is never going to keep the ball. And I don't blame him. He's not a runner.

LSU was actually making some nice drives Sat which was a first this season.. They have to stop killing themselves though.

They also need to have a different playset when Lee is in the game.. PA pass needs to be in there as well as some running plays. Especially running plays that are not option reads.

The coaching staff needs to decide/confirm early this week that Lee is the guy so they can concentrate on helping him correct that kind of mistake. I saw glimpses of the old Lee out there mixed in with the good stuff so by no means are we out of the woods, but if the coaching staff can go ahead and committ to him they can focus on these (hopefully) correctable mistakes.
