Yesterday, and I'm sure it was covered...but to be honest...I don't feel like looking for it again so we'll re-visit it.

"LSU fans HATE Les Miles. They've always hated him. They've never liked him."

Well, at least the national media is picking up what you guys have hoped.

5:53 Mark ......in case you missed it.

not sure if "always" is accurate.

for many, it was a gradual progression towards hate.

personally...I don't hate him ... but he does frustrate the heck out of me.

If anyone actually takes Wilbon seriously regarding a team not in his local area, they are dumb. That dude knows nothing about LSU football.

Wilbon on PTI

Prominentwon - You are certainly a knowlegable poster, I enjoy reading your posts.

But, Wilbon ? He's the very definition of a drama queen and says some wild crap on a regular basis. I'd give more credit to Dr Lou than Wilbon.

I wouldn't say that I hate the man. That said, I wanted him gone as the coach after the Arkansas game in 2007. Not only did he fail to do what everyone in the country knew you had to do to beat Arkansas: put 11 players, all the cheerleaders, and a few assistant coaches in the box and stop the run, but then he made excuses for it on the radio after. "We played against a future first round draft pick tonight." Well no shite, Les, that's why you pack the box.

I was actually happy when the Michigan news broke. However, when we won the NCG, I still wasn't thrilled with Les, but I told everyone within earshot that he bought himself another year to show that he could coach and not just throw talent on the field and hope for the best.

I don't hate Les Miles, but I do hate the fact that he didn't go to Michigan.

I won't say "hate" but I didn't like the hire from the start mainly because of how he left Ok St.

Very classless and showed much about his character imo.

Flame away if y'all want, but even his own team didn't appreciate how he left.

LSU fans have NOT always hated Les Miles and argueably, most do not now. there have not been any unbiased surveys run so i can't prove this ANYMORE than the haters can prove the majority of fans hate him. the only thing i can prove is that the haters are much more vocal and unbelievably adament in their demands for perfection. and i will edit to say the haters, in general are not only vocal but crude, self rightous and whiney. to me, resorting to "name calling" is immature at best. i remember my 5 yr old went thru that..........you........you...."poo-poo face". some of the posts remind me of that age group.

The key word with Miles is not Hate. It is frustrated.

LSU fans ragged on Les Miles since that first Monday night in Tiger Stadium. This board was alive, then, with threads about how stupid he was with the "Brittney Spears" head set, the asking where his wife was seated, flashing the #1 going into the tunnel at half-time.

Hate to say it, but Wilbon is right. Winning SECs and BCS Championships haven't been enough. There's nothing this man can or can't do, that will please such a huge segment of the LSU supporters. I've part Negatiger, but DAMN some people are so ungrateful, it's not even worth discussing.

i'm not a hater but statements like "demands for perfection" are just plain stupid...have you not been watching lsu's attempt at trying to play offense this year?

i think anyone with half a brain would accept and be happy with a less than perfect offense right now, as opposed to the crap of an offense that we've seen for way too long now.

Overall, Les has been good for LSU. Hes an excellent recruiter, and he appears to have surrounded himself with capeable coaches, for the most part, which is far too underrated IMO.

That being said, his game management cant be overlooked, nor can our offensive woes going on its third year.

I dont mind a bad spell, but there seems to be a certain ignorance on the part of Miles as he continues to say things like, "we're doing great things in the passing game" which clearly isnt true, and "Lee desereves a chance" but wont give it to him.

EDIT: Ive come to the conclusion Miles should be a politician. Hes a bullshitter extraordinaire.
