To all of you who do the 5 and 2 diet. I'm curious to try, but my main concern is energy loss. I workout 5 days a week first thing in the morning. And it's typically more intense than your average workout.
So I'm curious, do you experience any fatigue? Energy loss? Do you workout during the fasting days? If I were to do this, I believe it'd be dinner to dinner on Monday and Friday.
ETA: I don't drink coffee at all
Found these while doing research:

After a bout with temporary insanity I am back.
I might try out the whole 5 and 2 dealio. One of the guys at work has dropped 25 doing that one.
Stress continues to get the better of me and unfortunately those issues aren't going away anytime soon so I need to STOP eating everything in sight.
Too scared to step on the scale. It might explode and injure me.

Hit the gym today first time in awhile
Did 30 minutes on elliptical
1.5 mile run/jog
Some upper body lifting
According to calorie counter after my steak dinner I am at 1700 calories (1705 actually)

I know I know. The last week I went really hard with the eating and drinking. Had some great times, but goddamn I consumed a ton. No beer during the week this week, back to my running schedule and eating light. Hoping to get back down to 178 by the weekend.

185/174/165 as of last night
I seem to have stalled on the weight loss. Although I did drink and eat more than I wanted to for the fourth and over the weekend.
I'm also noticing I'm putting on muscle, so that could be throwing the weight loss of. So I'm close to abandoning a weight goal and just focus on continuing to burn fat.

that's where I'm looking to get. once I hit my target weight I don't really care what the scale says, as long as the mirror test satisfies me and my progress.

I drank all weekend, but the good news is I'm broke for a while so no drinking anytime soon. Back to intermittent fasting and eating paleo when I do eat. I like the IF a lot.

I am about to spend a weekend in Nola and then a week in Houston. I don't think it will be good for me

I would have responded sooner but I was too tired.
I have been doing this for several months and don't have any energy dropoff. (I'm not trying to be beach worthy)
Religious ritual IF has been practiced for thousand of years without the dire results predicted by the ones who promote the grazing (6 meals/day everyday) method. Everything in the "con" category about unsustainability and weight rebound applies to every diet method. What is a fact is that those who eat too much gain weight.
Good news is I've never over-eaten while fasting.
tl;dr i know

Lifted weights this morning
Protein Shake with scoop of peanut butter as breakfast
Almonds/cashews/walnut mix for lunch
Cardio in afternoon (5 mile bike ride, 2 mile jog)
Baked chicken, brown rice, baked potato, and a dinner roll for supper
1998 calories consumed today, a little over my goal of 1800 but a good cardio day so it is ok
