No we aren't a perfect team, but I'm not gonna let it ruin my love of LSU football. I love watching the games and cheering for the players. I love the fact that I get goosebumps when the band comes out, whether I'm at in Tiger Stadium or plopped down on my couch. I love watching blurs of purple and gold fly around the field. I love everything about those glorious Saturdays. So why not mix in a little love for our team here and there, you might just find out you enjoy Saturdays a little more.

knowing how far the program has fallen plays a big part in people's lack of enjoyment

I would normally back up what's going on (ie the team etc). However, when JJ is blantantly struggling, I can't ignore the lack of common sense.

If JL doesn't do well then we're no worse off.

There are assholes in every fanbase, and more than our righful share on the RANT, but Miles maybe squandering a chance at greatness by not giving Lee a chance.

Lee may stink up the place as bad as J.J., but you don't know that, I don't know that, none of our fan base knows that, and Miles doesn't know that.

My question is why the hell not?

its basically true. You think we are considered in the elite still like we were from 03-07? The lack of preparing a QB has been laughable and its killing the draft stock of the WRs. Now we can't even get a decent one in the class because they look at our offense and say "why would I want to play for a coach that can't get someone ready for the SEC let alone the NFL"

I agree. I also agree with some of the negativity on this board. But damn, for three days it has been the same posts over and over and over and over. I really hope we make a decent showing against Tenn. so the board will be at least close to as positive as it was after the MSU game.

Because we can obviously see what is coming, we started off 4-0 the last two years as well. Morons like you are still holding off for the "Secret Playbook", were just holding back, what a load of shite, average high school teams have a better passing attack then us. If you can't throw an accurate pass you can't be an SEC QB, he's not even close, has no touch, locks onto one receiver, if he's not open it's panic time.

It's not being miserable, it's being insightful that once again our incompetent coaches will find a way to take a team climbing the polls and throw it away. It's fans with enough understanding of the game seeing that the status quo will get us where it got us for the past 3 seasons.
It's seeing the backup QB throw the 3 best passes of the season and getting no PT even with our starter throwing one-hoppers and high heat to wide open recievers.

I'm pretty sure all fans with enough passion to be on this site are enjoying the games/wins but choose to face reality when discussing the team.

"I can also tell you the answer to your next question, and that is the new guy (backup Jarrett Lee). Whoever the new guy is, if we are going to send the new guy in, he would have had a miserable night, too. That is a tough day to play quarterback. I can tell you that it wasn't a great night to be a quarterback in our offense, no matter who the quarterback was."

You could translate this into " I think GC's Offensive scheme doesn't work and we will have a new OC next year
or
I am laying the blame somewhere other than at QB.

Either way the BOO birds still SUCK

IMO being a fan shouldn't make you this upset.

Exactly. IF JL goes in and throws a pick, how would that be any worse than JJ going in there and throwing a pick. Not to mention his lack of decision making.

Actually that makes you a better fan. Because you want improvement, and you are not settling for just getting by.

It's like if your wife is an alcoholic, and you don't say anything about it because you love her and don't want to hurt her feelings. In the end you are causing her more pain by not confronting the issue, and letting her die a slow death.

Criticism is what forces greatness from some.

It is by those that follow blindly, that the demise of a program will be allowed to take place...
then they will say, how did we not see it ?

Simply, you refused to see it.

Have you seen the class that is coming in? Trust me I hate Miles more than most, but the palyers are still going to come. Louisiana still has more high school talent than most states and the talent stills stays home for the most part. The fact of the matter is that I am very aggravted with the decsions that CLM has made and think he is a total dumbass, but bitch is not going to change it. And to the dumbass that says how far we have fallen, you are clueless. This team has one of the top defenses and special teams in the nation, so yeah I promise other teams still think they are elite. I want there to be a change too, but if it doesn't come I will still enjoy watching the Tigers every Saturday. As far as the booing goes, those people need to get a life. How big of a loser are you if you get that worked up over a fricking game.
