We did not get trash cans until late Saturday morning. We always have extra trash bags for in case. I have noticed when walking to the game near the visitors center there have always been port o lets there. So far not port o lets there this year. Anyone know why there are not port o lets near the visitors center ?

BS......we have a rather large tailgate)70 + most weekends with kegs, etc.....and when we leave the area, it's just like we found it. It's disgusting how little respect some folks have for the campus.
FWIW From what I've noticed its mostly the tailgates with the folks in their mid to late 20's.

With the budget cuts at LSU coming. There's an easy way to fix issues like this. Raise the necessary ACT/SAT scores and GPA at LSU. Cut the LSU A-E-I-O-U schools. If you aren't smart enough to get in LSU or one of the other 4 years, then go to fricking trade school or get a job. You don't deserve an education. Plain and Simple.

We have a huge tailgate and just rent our own port-o-let and let people that aren't with our group pay for all day use.

I've seen an increase in trash just thrown anywhere (sorry if I offend anyone) more since the fraternities & LSU students have started putting up these huge tents on the Parade Grd and across the street from the Parade Grd. The older folks usually pick up after themselves; the twenty-somethings not so much...it's really disgusting. I was picking up trash on my way back to my car from the Union while some of 'em were just setting up...

This is an easy fix and I don't know why LSU hasn't thought of it since they have thought of every other way to charge fans for everything else. Issue and charge for permits to tailgate on campus. Permits must be displayed at tailgate area. Could even designate areas just like they do for parking and charge more for the better/closer to stadium areas. Then the money could be used to payfor cleaning crews and nobody would have anything to complain about.
If tailgaiters don't clean up after themselves and this happens, they won't have anybody to blame for it but themselves.

I agree something needs to happen. I've been tailgating in the same spot for 15+ years and it gets worse every year. We use the trash cans provided by the university and even change out the bags when it gets full. Saturday we walked up on some people dumping the trash out of the bags to get the aluminium and left the mess. I don't understand that mentality at all.

Take a walk on Nicholson, rail road tracks side between Gouirrer (however you spell it) and Skip Bertman drive...it is horrible, about 3 years ago an entire flock of college students and recent grads took over the entire area and completely trash it every game day. Looks like mardi gras day down there. We had been there for about 12 years or so and got pushed back (which is fine) but the trash is not acceptable. They need to police those areas and get rid of the offenders. No reason to disrespect the campus like that. We have garbage cans that are put out by LSU and actually use them. Those kids could give a shite less.
