So a switch can just be flipped and JJ can hit receivers in stride? Receivers other than Shep who seems to drop multiple balls each game. More balls thrown his way will magically turn into him having a higher catch %? Just wondering because most believe it's very hard to just "turn it on" when you need to as opposed to playing all out every week.
well, usually players improve as they become more experienced.

So instead of gaining more experience against the 3 shitty opponents LSU just played, Les goes ultraconservative? How does that make them better?

But none of the teams we have played are shitty? Reality is that the sec is changing - the real bottom feeders now are ole miss and Kentucky. Yeah unc had a few players out but the talent they have recruited is far better than the talent on wvu. shite they already have agents!

I watched the Marshall game. I wasn't impressed.
And their OL was bad in that game. I was shocked.

Stop the run on them and they are toast.

I'm impressed. and yes, more production from the offense would be nice
I dont think 14-0 and a NC will impressed the negatigers.....

They are dangerous, I watched them play Marshall and was very impressed with Geno Smith. They have plenty of speed on defense, but tend to give up big plays in the secondary, if only we could take advantage

I agree with both of these. Plus you have to add in the history factor. WVU is not scared to play an SEC team. They are like 4-1 over SEC in the last 5 years with wins over UGA (the SEC Champ), MSU x 2, and 1-1 with AU. That secondary will be a lot more confident knowing that JJ won't pick them apart.

They are terrible. I watched them play Marshal and they should have lost that game.

I saw them play Marshall and they should have lost that game. I think this game will be over by halftime.

I bet Florida State thought the same thing about OU before they played.
I bet GT thought the same thing about Kansas before they played (Not that I'm saying KU is good).
The point is that I bet WVU will be very UP for this game. Coming into TS with a 4-1 SEC record over the past 5 years, plus the 2007 NC connection with them basically letting us in the game by losing to Pitt. I think this game will be close.

Agree....live in MD, but bleed Purple & Gold. Attended the WVU/MD game this weekend w/ friend. Their QB (Smith) is to be respected. Devine and Austin are good backs. We contain them and we'll be fine. Bailey is a good WR. If our secondary isn't on their game, this Geno Smith will throw all over us,
Geaux Tigers!

Zack is correct.....WVU fans are "up" for the game. Will be leaving tomorrow morning to get on my way to see the Tigers play.
- Should be a VERY good game btw both teams

Just saying you threw SEC behind those games to make them seem like quality opponents. Sorry, but MSU and Vandy are at the bottom of the SEC every year.
The SEC it the toughest conference in college football and MSU and Vandy happen to be in that conference.

I wouldn't put too much stock into what you saw from WVU in the Marshall game.
WVU is 10-0 vs Marshall and it is their friggin' superbowl every year when we play...especially considering this was only our 2nd time playing in Huntington and they shut the city down for it basically.
And this year, they also had some advantages as their head coach has been on our staff the past 2 seasons and he took 4 of our GA's with him to Huntington.
Also, we had a freshman offensive lineman come in and go through all of our summer camps before being ruled academically ineligible the 1st day of school. Because the Big East doesn't except Prop 48's he transferred to Marshall and knew all of our cadence and offensive blocking signals.
I understand that excuses are a dime a dozen, but I would be wrong to look at your 2nd half comeback against Louisiana Tech last season and think that you guys were a pushover because of it.

Good point. WVU showed a lot of poise to come back in a hostile environment.
I don't think either team will have trouble scoring. Look at the trouble we had with MSU's read option last week. That's WVU's bread and butter. And Devine is FAST. If he gets to a corner, it will be a footrace.
I think LSU wears them down with a grinding run game, but it will be (unnecessarily) close.

I'm more worried about LSU's downhill/power running than your speed. I think we can match the speed, or at the very least, keep it close, but we can't allow you guys to continue to average 5 yards per carry or you'll consistently move the chains and run the clock.

improvement every week will get us where we need to be by the UF and Bama games. I just think the coaching staff is protecting JJ right now. I do not agree with that logic, but I am just a fan not the coach. I have faith our O will get better over the next few weeks
