Buying a PS3 - Questions

I'm gonna buy A PS3. I currently have a 360 that is from when the 360 first came out. I want the PS3 for a couple reasons. First, I hear the graphics are better on the PS3 compared to the 360. Second, I am in the market for a blue ray player anyways. Third, I want to play online, and my 360 does not have a wireless adapter (wired internet is not an option by my TV right now).
What is the best current deal on a PS3 right now? I see the 120gb one for $299. Is there any difference in that and the 240gb one for $399 except more harddrive and an extra controller?
Is the blue ray player on the PS3 on par with other good blue ray players? Also, is the netflix on PS3 any good? Can you surf the net on the PS3--does it have a built in browser?
I want to buy a good first person shooter to play online. I'm not a Halo kind of person, I cut my teeth playing the original Team Fortress Classic, so I like more skill based team FPS over a free for all kill everyone. Is MW2 the end all be all for this type of game?
Sorry for the rambling questions, just realized 5 minutes ago I want one and I'm a research first kinda guy. Thank you for your responses.

ETA, you probably should play MW2 if you want to play a FPS multiplayer. Black Ops is the next CoD and most everyone on the board is geared up for it. Medal of Honor is also coming out soon and less people here are excited than it compared to BO, but still...it'll be pretty good.

The 299 120 GB will do just fine
The graphics is a marginal issue and in most cases the Xbox360 port looks better than the Playstation 3 port
Online is pretty good but I have discovered a huge portion of the PSN community does not use a headset so getting one is kind of a must if you want to play any first person shooters and be tactical about it.
The Blu-Ray player works great however I cannot comment on the Netflix.
The Playstation 3 does have a browser built in on it but to be brutally honest the Wii has a better browser than the one you will find on the Playstation 3.
If you are new to the Playstation 3 I say going back and getting some of the older titles that are greatest hits now will give you some great bang for your buck, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Resistance Fall of Man. These are all great games that will not tear your wallet up.
If you got the finances I say go and get one.

Thanks for the recommendations. I will likely grab madden and the half-life orange box to start off. I wish there was some sort of ps3 deal where u got madden or mw2 thrown in.

"and my 360 does not have a wireless adapter (wired internet is not an option by my TV right now). "
If you have a router and a power outlet by it and the TV you should check out the link below.
POWERLINE
There are several brands out there that make these. I got real close to buying one of them, but I went with wi-fi instead for the PS3. I think the powerline adapters are a little better at streaming video from what I've read. Might be able to get both systems online with this.

The PS3 is one of the best blu-ray players on the market.
The netflix requires a disk to instant stream, so the xbox version is better in that regard. The quality is really good though, so I imagine it's pretty close to the xbox in that regard.
The PS3 does have a built in browser that I never use.

The key word here is "PORT" on 1st party games I feel like the PS3 really outshines the Xbox.

I would hardly say that a game like Uncharted 2: Among Thieves makes a game like Gears of War 2 look like crap.

When a game is made for one console in mind and then it is "ported" to another console, Bioshock, Orange Box, Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect 2. Games like that.

I find this true for PS3 exclusives, but not for the multi-plat games. Most multi-plat games seem to look better on the 360.

Amazon.com has the new 160 GB models for the same price as the 120 GB models. LINK

Crap was your word not mine. I just said outshines.

Maybe you shoud say graphical edge or some other term because there are exclusive titles on the Xbox 360 of the same genre that look better than the Playstation 3 counterpart.
Some games look better on one sysytem or another but "outshine" is hardly the word I would use.

Picked up the 120gb model and madden 11 and modern warfare 2.
Then I bought over a hundred bucks worth of blue rays. Got the Bourne trilogy, last two bond movies, 300, Dark Knight, etc.

I have both and spend 97% of my time on x box. I know more people with xbox's, the controllers are much better on xbox's, not a huge diff in game quality, more user friendly interface.
The blue Ray is great but outside of ps3 only games I stick to the xbox.
It's worth it for the blue Ray player alone.
That's my 2 cents fwiw.

I have both and I use the X-Box probably 75% of the time.

Go play Killzone 3 and then try and say the same thing.
And I honestly can say that UC2 embarrasses Gears 2 on the 360. Its not even close.
Not trying to be an arse, but have you played UC2, and I mean on an HD TV. There is no comparison.
I am more of a 360 fan then PS3, but "outshines" is probably not a strong enough word to describe the difference in graphics.
You could also play Heavy Rain and Gow3. All these games I mentioned poop on 360's graphics.
