1. Does everyone here think a RB's only job is carrying the ball?
2. Does everyone here think Ford is such an amazing runner that he's better than Murphy and Ridley, even though Murphy of the three of them, had the best stats in practice?
3. Does everyone here think Ford knows the playbook?
4. Is everyone positive Ford wouldn't fumble the ball or make a dumb mistake in his first real game against a very good team on the road?
4b. Should we have rolled the dice and found out in the 4th quarter of the UNC game when the damn experienced, powerful Jr. RB shouldn't have fumbled the ball? Or did everyone know he would fumble the ball again?
5. Do you Einstein's honestly believe that putting Ford in on week 1 was more important than a plethora of other issues the team had AND do you think that UNC was the best game to throw him in there on, when we have cake teams such as Vandy the very next week?

Just asking. I hear the Ford comments, and I just wonder if anyone REALLY thinks thats an issue. IF you think that is a serious issue at this point, then I must ask you, do you really have any EFFIN clue what you're talking about or are you one of those people who don't know what Bump and Run is?

He should be getting some snaps. He should not be starting.

Put Ford in to run on 1st and 2nd downs. Put in Ridley to block on 3rd down. Damn.. that's tough.

1. no
2. yes, if not him...Ware
3. yes
4. the others did fumble, so it can't hurt to try
4b. didn't know he would fumble again
5. yes, he needs to play against good opponents

Problem is that for the last few years, the RBs split carries (to the disliking of many). Now when there are four RBs who can play, only two get carries, one getting most.

Coaches get young guys touches early in games all the time. We were up by 20 for 45 mins. 2 series at the beginning of the 2nd half and I would have been happy.

his teammate who plays the same position basically said he's not ready yet. i'm not a fan of the fumbles but people freaking out over ford's PT is dumb.

This...if he really doesn't know the playbook, then someone should be sitting with him in the classroom right now making him learn it and going over it until he dreams about it.

The guy who would be adversely affected if Ford plays thinks he's not ready. WOW...

I'm sure that's his agenda, to try to affect the RB rotation through the media. since we've had these RB comittees the last few years, they've always been supportive of each other and always speak highly of the others. he was also complimentary of Ford's ability and said his time will come. they're not going to just throw him out there if he's only comfortable with taking a handoff and running with it.

Einstein says that Russell Shepard should get 2 carries the rest of the way after his breakaway TD.

I think this is what puzzles people. Why not use the committee now?

Ford has been on campus for over a year. If he can't block or doesn't know the playbook, he is mentally disabled. That cannot be true. If it is, whoever recruited him and has been coaching him should b fired. He is a REDSHIRT freshman running back. Noel Devine lit things up as a true freshman at West Virginia in a spread offense and he barely graduated high school. Think!

Wasn't the playbook the reason Shep didn't get many touches last year? I don't buy the playbook cop out. Ford should see playing time if he is good enough, But he shouldn't start.

People are different. not everyone adjusts the same way and matures the same way. obviously he's physically ready, but there could be alot more to it than that, even at a position the rant all claims is so super easy. it's dumb to put all the blame on the coaches if he's not ready. what if spencer ware gets some carries saturday over ford, is it the coaches fault for not being able to teach ford in a year when ware picks it up in one summer plus a month of practice?
