Did I just hear right???? I caught the tail end of what the caller just said, but I believe he's saying we should fire CLM "NOW" "so our recruiting won't suffer."

Every fanbase has meatballs. LSU is no different. And most of them post here, and here they outweigh the rational fan base. I'm not sure the mood here represents the entire fan base. Who knows, maybe it does.

Slightly extreme at this juncture. The season just started and we could do very well. Another 9- 3 year with a shot at 10 wins in a bowl game would be a very successful season.
I think the recruiting greatness is overstated. We have some big holes - no OL backups, QB, LBs - which we really should not have considering his tenure at LSU.

Recruiting is important but coaching, development, preparation and game day management are jsut as, if not more crucial.

We might have great 4 and 5 star skill players but we lack depth at OL which is fundamental. We have failed to get what we NEED!

So you agree with him. Good for you.
Injuries happen. People leave. Get this: LSU is not an NFL program. The longest a player normally stays in the program is 5 years. Some leave early for the NFL draft. Why do you suppose so many players from LSU opt early for the draft? Hmmm....Could it maybe- just maybe- have something to do with LSU attracting quality athletes?
Are you implying that RP's self-destruction didn't put us in a bind? Before you say "Miles shouldn't have recruited a low-character guy like that!!", I'll remind you that it was Coach Nick Saban who recruited him before bolting for Miami 6 years ago. Things happen. People leave for various reasons. Some even leave for more money- or- GASP- a better opportunity.
We will have a top 5 recruiting class in 2011, for the record.
But, I could be wrong. We will see. I'll never bash LSU either way.

not really all that impressive when 30 of the 50 games are teams like Tulane and ULM.... just sayin... in this day and age you need to beat the upper teams... at least once every other year...
losing back to back to UF, Alabama, and Ole Miss is what has me worried.
