how not to make the final roster

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that Blount punched defensive end Eric Bakhtiari after the final play of practice. This time around, the guy on the receiving end was wearing a helmet; Blount's punch connected with Bakhtiari's facemask. That said, Wyatt reports that the punch was "eerily similar" to the right jab Blount threw last year.
"I promised to [coach Jeff Fisher] it was behind me and that was in my past and it just came up again,'' Blount said after practice. "I got into a situation where the defense pushed me too far.''

It's a non-issue in the NFL. Guys get into fights everyday in training camp.

I've never understood why guys try to punch a guy in the face when the dude is wearing a freakin' helmet.

Yea they don't do this in college practice.

I love how you clowns all just read what he quotes and don't even click the link. He only posted that part to make it look like Blount is still a punk.
How about what the coach said:
How about what the coach said:

But Fisher didn't seem to be upset. "I am not disappointed whatsoever,'' Fisher said. "His past is his past. Is that the first punch you've seen at camp this year? No. OK. I am not disappointed whatsoever. I have great confidence in the young man that he has learned from his mistake and is very competitive.'' The punch was part of an intense practice with, per Wyatt, "numerous" shoving matches.

Oh well shite happens at football practice. But it is ironic.

I agree that normally this wouldn't be an issue, but considering his past this might be an issue.

I'm sure that his draft stock got hurt due too the punch and character concerns, but when he does the same thing again but to a teammate its a non issue? Seemed to be an issue a few months ago around draft time

It depends on if he actually sucker punched him like he did the dude from Boise.

Jeff Fisher disagrees with you.
I'll side with him.

+1 If I am a titans fan I am a little concerned that it came up this quickly. I know this happens everyday in the NFL so I won't be so quick to jump his shite considering Fisher doesn't have a problem with it. I just hope this behavior isn't repeated during a game or consistently in practice. If so, I hope the commissioner takes care of his arse. I wonder what Fisher said to him, if anything.

quote:Well, unless you personally know Jeff Fisher and spoke with him today, you don't know what Fisher thinks about this situation. All you know is the spin that Fisher released for public consumption.
Jeff Fisher disagrees with you.
Any intelligent coach (which Fisher is) would have to have some concern about an athlete who can't seem to control his emotions.

Isn't he already signed. I doubt the Titans care enough to cut him over this.
