Fiorella's Cafe is a JOKE!!!

Myself and seven friends went to Fiorella's in the French Quarter today for lunch and I just had to make a post about what an absolute horrible experience we had there.
As we sat down to order, our waitress informed us that they were out of corn & crab bisque, oysters, crab cakes and get this... red beans & rice!!! (WOW)
So when we placed our order for a couple of boxes of fried chicken, since it takes about a 3 minute heads up to fry, we ordered fried pickles & calamari for the table. We were told that they were out of calarmari. So we ordered homemade potato chips. When the two apps came, there was NO ranch sauce for the fried pickles and the waitress literally had to go to the corner market to buy a bottle of Hidden Valley ranch for our dip.
When it came time to order the food, I ordered the seared tuna and was told they were out of tuna. My son ordered chicken strips with fries and was told they were out of chicken strips!!!
When the entrees came out, everyone got there's about 10 minutes before two of the others. One of the dishes was caesar salad with GRILLED shrimp and the other was pasta with Italian sausage. How these two came well late at the tail end is beyond me???
I ordered a grilled catfish po boy and I kid you not, that I had one small strip of catfish on each half of the po boy. So literally my sandwich was all bread, shredded lettuce, tomatoes & pickles.
My 11 year old son ordered the fried catfish strips with french fries and he got grilled catfish. Now I know grilled catfish is better for you than fried, but 9.75 kids out of 10 get fried fish as opposed to grilled.
On top of all the food debacles, a dishwasher in the middle of our meal asked four people at the table to move their chairs so he could get to a closet door to retrieve something. Finally a manager, who we never saw told him to get what he needed later.
Although this place is known for their fried chicken (and I have to admit the chicken was overcooked and dry), this experience was an absolute joke and I will NEVER go back. I would highly recommend that no one go there as well.
How in the world can you be out of red beans??? Not to mention you are out of literally half of your menu on a Wednesday at 1:30 PM???
This place is either about to close down or it should close down if this is a normal practice!!!!

I think we went to a show there once. Paid, walked into the dining area, saw what was going on and turned around. Asked for our money back and they gave it to us. We dodged that bullet. It was the Bingo, but a long arse time ago.

Sounds like a shithole tourist trap to me. Never heard of it.
And you are correct, it should close down if they do business like that often.

I'm pretty sure it's more of a local spot than a tourist trap. However, if it was/is a tourist trap, to still be out of half your menu is inexcusable. When we did ask for a manager, the waitress said that she is probably at one of the other twelve restaurants.
That comment right there basically summed it up for me!!!

Either way, it sucks for a restaurant to be like this. Be sure and put a review in the TD dining guide.

First, New Orleans Bingo are badass. The lead singer sang the national anthem for the 2008 national championship, FYI.
The meatballs at fiorella's are da bomb.

Fiorella's is sort of a locals place and is supposed to have great fried chicken. Sorry it sucks.

The owner us a dirt cheap SOB. A good friend of mine works at one of his other businesses and told me that he runs places into the ground. Same guy used to own The Dock on the Lakefront and the food was inedible there because he wouldn't buy enough oil and they'd use the same grease wayy too long.

No doubt. Clint is a true talent. The man can sing some Zeppelin too.
This was a long time ago, and they were doing one of their theatrical parts of the show. It was just too small and the scene was just too intense. Bullhorn and the like. I've seen Clint a ton of times before and after that, and will continue to support his performances.
