What y'all think? Mer Rouge? Venice? Geuydon? Tensas?

All of it
Depends what you want to hunt in, marsh? swamp? rice fields? Gulf of Mexico?

Don't forget beaver ponds and the rivers.

Killed 12 ducks in 3 parishes one day.

Lower Gueydan/Lake Arthur areas in or close to the marshes I think are still some of the best. Venice is still great but also some central La areas are starting to get hot in the last few years like Lebeau/Bunkie, Cheneyville, etc. areas for one reason or another. Not like it's just awesome everywhere in those areas but you're certainly starting to hear more about those places now.

False. Duck hunting here is decent but way way over priced at about 6-8k per blind. Whiteville area is much better. Avoyelles and Concordia parishes along the Red, Black, and Miss. river are hard to beat in the 2nd split.

Caldwell Parish is pretty solid.

For it's consistency Venice is hard to beat. Unless you are after mallards. However for a mixed bag with pintail and canvasbacks a given it's hard to beat. That being said the wax can be phenomenal also.

15 years ago we used to have great hunts in Lake Boueff. Not so much anymore. Too many poule deau and cootkillas.

Late in the season....
but for early ducks, I like the Chennyville blind.

Not sure about ducks but I was amazed with the amount of geese in the Kaplan/Geuydon area

Kaplan and Gueydan do have a ton of geese but so do all the lil rice towns of SW La. I was surprised to see so many around Cheneyville last Thanksgiving. Guess I didn't know how much rice is farmed in that area these days.

Driving down the echo/Cheneyville road about 30 minutes before dark is a site to see for all of the roosting ducks.

Mer Rouge (Little Missouri) and south Ouchita parish-Hwy 15 are historically the best areas in NELA. I hunt Little Missouri and have a blind in Oak Ridge. They are both about as good as you can get around here.
