Al, I don't see a Boones Farm, or a TJ Swan on there, so, I'm of no help...

Strawberry Hill, Tickle Pink or Country Kwencher?

Sanford usually makes a solid Pinot and it is a good value.
BTW, I bumped the summer cocktail thread to tell you that Marcello's will have Goslings soon.

HANDS DOWN...OREGON! The climate in Oregon is the closest to the same as the region in France! Last time we went to Brandts we brought a bottle from Oregon that the lady from calandro's told us about. We ordered a bottle of Oregon pinot @ Marcello's and it was wonderful. enjoy!

I was looking hard at the Oregon. I trust the little korean man as well. Tough decisions.

I'm partial to Russian River Valley Pinots, but we'll have to try one of the Oregon ones. I've also been wanting to try the Fess Parker.

This is what I usually resort to when trying to pick a pinot noir

The three best wines on that list are:
Etude
Gary Farrell
Goldeneye
If the Domaine Carneros is the "Famous Gate" bottling, add that to the list. And I'll be the contrarian and admit that I don't care for Oregon pinot noirs in general.

Had the 2007 a while back, it wasn't great, much better Pinots in the Santa Rita Hills and CA Central Coast Areas.

I'll agree for now, I think that they are farming under the addage of "if my neighbor is doing it, I'll do it to" which is not the best way to do things.

Paul Hobbs is the best Pinot made. It needs an hour to breath after opening.

Domaine Carneros is solid. I have really enjoyed the Robert Mondavi Cab but i havent had the pinot yet. If you want to try an Oregon Pinot, try Ponzi. I have a few bottles from my grandparents that i am really enjoying right now.
