some of the stuff he said isn't wrong, per se
however, his end conclusions are fricking insane
1. was there a series of events that led to hitler (or a similar dictator) to seize control of germany? yes
2. does this excuse the holocaust? no
3. just because 25M russians died, which was more than the holocaust, it doesn't mean the holocaust was ok
4. just because russia sacrifieced 20M+ people in the war, brother joe was still a horrible ruler who killed another 5-20M people after ww2, and his rule began the cold war

I thought that was interesting and bold of him to say those things. Then again there is too much of a sympathetic subtext to his comments.

Stone is a major pot smoker; he has been busted several times, a huge acid tripper and coke-head.
I think allot of his controversial comments he has made over the years can be somewhat attributed to his heavy drug use. I’ m not defending him or saying it excuses his behavior.
Just think this may be one of the reasons he has become crazier than a run over dog.
I loved NBK, but did anybody see U Turn? He was obviously using when he made that, because it was one f’d up movie.
