Yes just two players make that big of a difference. They were two players on the two teams that gave LA even a little trouble.

It's not just losing 2 players, but yes, those 2 were the biggest blows. In addition to Utah and Phoenix taking a step back, San Antonio is a year older, Denver showed they are overrated, and Haywood didn't seem to bring enough toughness to push Dallas over the top. I think there is now much less separation between 2 - 6 and 7 - 11 than there used to be.

losing 2 very good post players from 2 playoff teams when all the good FA are pretty much signed???


yeah, sure, the west definitely got worst. why wouldnt it?
