Colombia was a favorite to win the cup in 94 and US knocked them out of the tournament by beating them 2-1. They tied a strong swiss team and they were ousted in the round of 16 by champs Brazil and lost 0-1. I don't think that is unimpressive.

Yesterday some friends and I drove to Houston for a Dynamo game. We dressed up in fan gear and watched some of the worst soccer I have ever witnessed. It was slow, lazy and without any hint of urgency or aggressiveness.

Shots on goal:
Houston 1
Columbus 2 (btw, the Crew are #1 in the east)
Final score: 0-0

As a lifelong US soccer fan, the MLS has been good for developing the sport here but I left the stadium thinking that this kind of performance is what keeps soccer from really growing in our country.

Yes just two players make that big of a difference. They were two players on the two teams that gave LA even a little trouble.

The west is definitely an ugly mess but I think it will be good for young teams like the Thunder, Blazers and Kings. Needless to say, the east is going to have some sick matchups.

So I went against all of your positive responses and started Roethlisberger instead of Brady because I knew the Jets would rattle Brady especially with one of his main targets out. I'm sure Ben will do better than 0 TD's and 1 INT's. Thanks for the advice, jackholes!
