This is fricking bullshite! This is why i hate that fricking game! I get called up mid-season, almost bat .300 and i don't get shite. I'm still struggling in the 2011 season.WTF? My power is up in the 40's and my contacts almost in the 50's and i'm still struggling to get a hit

i'm going kick something

I can't say I blame you. I don't like the ridiculous shite that occurs in it either. The trades bother me more than anything because there's no logic to them. Why the frick would St. Louis trade Pujols to Seattle? I don't think anyone could come back to perform like I did in real life after tearing a shoulder, so that was a little bothersome. It's just because I want a realistic experience. My AA season was realistic. .292 AVG, 11 HR, 62 RBI in 110+ games.

But, I haven't really faltered in spring training in my second season with the MLB club.

But as far as ratings go, My contact vs both pitchers is 69 vs LH, 59 vs RH, and power is 55 vs LH, and 50 vs RH. Depending on what position you play, you may have a good enough reason to not have as high ratings as mine. 1B and LF don't really need to work on arm strength or any of that shite. You can compensate for it in training sessions half the time.

I'm constantly using my training points and focusing on plate discipline, contact, power, and then stretching. I make up for the lack of defense in training sessions, and occasionally I'll spend points on sprints and infield drills, but my primary focus is on the aforementioned four.

i was doing well in AA when i started the season. Started with Tampa Bay, hitting above .300 with 12 or so home runs and 40+ RBIs. Then got traded to Oakland They are in the process of rebuilding and Pujols just got traded to Oakland.

So they scoop me up mid season and i start out as DH in the show and eventually become starting SS. Beginning of this season, they move me to the bench and the 2nd baseman to SS and trade for a new 2nd baseman...whatever...i'm still in the bigs, but now will have no opportunity to win Rookie of the Year. If i would've spent a year in AA and AAA, i would've been a monster my first year in the bigs.

Maybe i'm on the cusp of breaking out...my numbers aren't far from that.

On Topic:

I think i've done a couple 7 hour sessions of multiplayer. When i first picked up MW2, i played well into the early morning hours to try to finish the story mode.

what is it about the Show that makes motherfrickers want to write a novel?

a lot happens in a short span. You can damn near play a season in a week or so. And there aren't many Show threads, so when someone ends up talking about it, you have a lot of shite to say

so suck it jefforize

ETA: was that short enough for you?

anyone who's ever played an MMORPG hardcore will smoke that session. I've had some 20+'s in FFXI and WoW.

and that's a huge part of the reason why I don't play MMO's anymore.

The longest I've ever played in one session was probably about 24 hours.. took a 4 hour nap then played another 12 hours.

MMORPG players will always take the cake in this category.

I've put in what I consider to be long sessions on brand new games, but nothing over 6 hours probably.

I'll never touch WoW or any of the others because I got a little addicted to Diablo 2 back when it came out. That's about as far as I want to dip into RPG obsession.

Last year I got mono 2 days before NCAA football came out. When you get Mono that shite doesn't let you sleep so I think I played NCAA for a good 12 hours straight a few nights in a row last year.

I seriously cannot help it, dude. Majoring in journalism and having taken so many extensive writing courses, it's like a helpless habit. If I come up with a one-liner, it's usually a completely random smart-arse comment.

But to re-answer your question... Yes, I do feel a personal connection with my RTTS player, and when he tore his shoulder, it tore my heart out. SO DON'T YOU frickING CRITICIZE ME!

ETA: GODDAMMIT!

FFXI wasn't really a game, it was a job

without nice things like a paycheck, of course
