I'm fresh off a 13 hour MW2 session on Monday, probably my longest.

Damn, dude. Do you live by yourself or something?
Posted on 7/7/10 at 11:23 am to SprintFun
Consecutively? Maybe 3-4 hours.

6 hours recently, but I'm sure I've had longer sessions.
I played a full season of RTTS the other night (my rookie season with Detroit--they drafted me, not my choice). Of course, I play first base, and that shite gets old after a while. I only do the hitting and base running. I'll only watch 1/4 of the pitches thrown to each batter to speed it up.
I only played in 67 games because of a torn shoulder, but I racked up 19 HR, 70 RBI, and hit .385. I don't know what the hell happened, but I came back from the injury and hit 15 HR and drove in 58 RBI in something like 45 games. AL Rookie of the Year.

I used to love Luclin, never had to grind VT though - I only started getting to the end game in PoP.

That's only consecutive hours I was referring to. In all actuality, I played the game from about noon to 4:00 AM the following morning. From 10:00-4:00 was when I played 6 straight hours. I was still fricking around in AA and AAA during the hours prior to that. Once the 2nd baseman went down, they called me up. Of course, the trading logic is so fricking stupid--at least for the Tigers--so it didn't surprise me. They traded away valuable young players in exchange for guys like Tim Wakefield who promptly retired after the season ended.
Now I'm on the trade block after a monster first impression. WTF?

I can't compete with that. My 16 hours has nothing on it.

Can someone translate this for me?

In the game EverQuest, in order to enter a certain dungeon (Vex Thal) you had to sit and camp components for the key to get in. For this certain key you had to camp multiple things and each thing could take like 10 hours to get.
Back then camping shite just seemed part of the game and was no big deal - wouldn't fly in today's gaming.

just gonna toss this out there, since there are some EQ players needing a nostalgia kick..
Project 1999 (google it)
go get your addictions back.
and to add to the thread, as previously mentioned, there have been many 20+ hour sittings in EQ and probably more than a couple of 36 hour + sittings.

yeah until Blizzard (competition) came into the market and made a MMO so easy any faceroller/mouthbreather/chromosome misser can get the best gear welfared to their mailbox just for logging on
not faulting blizz, the market demanded that.
