Chad Jones hurt in serious car accident

Chad Jones' father, Al Jones, says his son is in surgery right now. Surgeons are working on the thigh and femur area.
Al Jones said his son was alert after the accident.
"My understanding is that he was awake and he actually gave my cell phone to police officer who was talking to him," Jones said.
Chad Jones was taken to the Trauma Center at LSU Public Hospital in guarded condition, said New Orleans Emergency Service spokesman Jeb Tate.
"Our paramedics responded to a motor vehicle crash at Carrollton & Toulouse this morning around 6:15," Tate said. "Our paramedic rescue division, along with NOFD, extricated a 20-year-old male from a vehicle with a significant amount of damage. Once the patient was freed from the vehicle, our paramedics transported him to the LSU Trauma Center in guarded condition.
“We use guarded to denote a condition between critical and stable.”

wasn't being self righteous. I posted earlier about what I thought would be his injuries as I've worked close to a hundred accidents. You learn what too look at and look for.

damn thats rough. im no doctor but it at least seems hes going to make it. hopefully his career can do the same. thats just godawfully misfortunate.

looks like he may have had a lac on the thigh. notice its out and they aren't holding traction or splinting. When he is wheeled off, the right leg appears to be in an air splint. The right leg has no where to go and if the steering column broke, it could have easily been the pinned part of his body.
