I'd say averaging 28.6 points and 8 boards a game is pretty MVP like

Last time I checked the award wasn't called the "Finals MVP whom shoots at least 40%".

Look at who performed consistently at a high level in all the Lakers WINS. If you do, that's Gasol. You aren't MVP if your best games happen when your team loses, and often because you played that way.

In reality, this was just a shitty series all around. Up and down play all over the place, and Kobe earned his MVP by default.

Even if it was Kobe would have still won it. 66/163 = .405

List Eater just sucks at math and Woopigsooie is just the most pathetic Laker flamer on the site

Next year Kobe can match Jordan with two threepets. If he wins one more after that along with two other finals apperances he eclipses Jordan. I know MJ jizz drinkers with argue otherwise but seven championships with four coming without Shaq means alot. Michael never won without Scottie which now Kobe has won two without Shaq.

wow. You are dumb.

Kobe 7 finals, 5 wins 2 mvps. He was the sidekick on the first 3 championships.

MJ 6 finals, 6 wins 6 MVPS. Never even went to a game seven. The man left basketball to play baseball then comes back a year and a half later to start he second 3 peat. Clearly Kobe is better than jordan

Not flaming, but why? If they have the same credentials why is MJ so much better than Kobe? Is it because Nike and Gatoraide put all their advertising dollars behind him and made him the most talked about player in history? He was a great player, awesome player. But he was just one player. Why can't another player be just as good as MJ and win as many championships as MJ?
