Alabama so they can keep both their rivalry games. Auburn would have to give up UGA every year.

They are never going to split them. They would move both and send another team over.

Auburn-UGA won't be abandoned. It's the oldest rivalry in the southeast.

forget moving.

Let's just kick AU to the Curb and replace them with Clemson... it's Auburn with a lake

Would have to be Bama. Too hard logistically to have a West-based Bama fit East-based Aubie AND Tenn on sched. each yr.

Auburn it's a geographical thing. Makes the most sense.

The SEC needs to either stick with 12 teams or expand to 16 teams. To quote the Cleaner in Breaking Bad, you can't take half measures. Either go all the way or don't do it at all. I want the SEC to go after two ACC teams or add West Virginia and another ACC team. To break up Alabama and Auburn just to add Texas A&M and Missouri (or Kansas) is sheer lunacy.

I would love to see an Auburn/Bama SEC Title game.

I don't want to see Alabama play Auburn in back to back weeks. It trivializes the regular season game, basically rendering it meaningless.

I had heard that bama would never go east, because the SEC bigwigs wouldnt want to have florida and bama in the same divison?

That would not have anything to do with it. Bama has just reemerged as an upper tier SEC team in the last two years anyway.

It is all about traditional rivalries. If one SEC team was shifted East, it would be Auburn to restore the AU/UF and AU/UT rivalries. Bama would fight having to play UGA and FL yearly anyway.

Now I would love to see Kentucky to the West and the alabama teams to the east.

The divisions would be very inbalanced, that's for sure. Florida and Alabama are the two best teams in the conference. Georgia's been a consistent ten win team this decade and I don't seem them being down for very long with or without Richt. Tennessee has historically been the second best team in the SEC. If you compare that to the SEC west with LSU, a program that's been very inconsistent throughout their history, Auburn (perennial 9-4 team), Arkansas (decent but nothing special), A&M (see Arkansas) and the SEC Championship game has a very good chance of being like Big 12 football in recent years with all the power being stacked in one division.

I agree, it will be difficult to add teams and keep the divisions equally strong
