The SEC isn't broken. Quit trying to fix it.

If we don't do anything, then soon it will be imo.

Jefferson Davis and Robert E Lee would disagree with you...Texas seceded from the Union and was part of the CSA during the Civil War, by God, that makes them part of The South.

I agree, no need for UT but we should go after A&M.

It's not a matter of scared, it's a matter of unnecessarily making things harder on ourselves. SEC teams already face a tough arse schedule in conference anyways, there's a reason so many SEC teams schedule lightweights OOC, because they have to face anywhere from 3-6 or 7 ranked teams in conference already. Adding Texas will just make things THAT much harder for SEC teams. And I don't give a flying frick if it increases TV marketshare, I'm not a fan of TV markets, I'm a fan of UGA. I want what is best for UGA to win a national title, and Texas being in the league doesn't help that chance. It doesn't help ANY team's chance at that.

Let them prove it on the field first, and then if we feel the heat, we talk about it. Because what if it doesnt work and it all crumbles?

This is true. I think they might go independent before joining the SEC. The school, alumni and fans don't like us.

It really should say "East Texas". Back then Galveston was a big port and Austin barely existed.

Does anybody remember TX over A&M in the 80's and 90'? It didn't happen. The pendulum will swing. A&M is a sleeping giant.

TX didn't show up until Ricky Williams was playing.
That should tell you something right there.
