Seems one of the two teams to start all this (NU and Mizzou) is starting to freak out at the thought of being left out.

Mizzou thinking they were such a shoe-in to go to the Big Ten was a big factor behind today's events. If they get left out in the cold with a bunch of teams they were trying to screw over, it will be fricking HILARIOUS.

Mountain West! Why isn't the Mountain West trying to scoop these unwanted big 12 teams up? They may have not wanted to go to the MWC, but it may be their best option.

I never understood why Kansas would be a leftover instead of Missouri. Having a dominant basketball team would be well worth it, especially since the two teams are a push in football essentially.

That was Syracuse, IIRC, and even then, Virginia Tech bumped Syracuse first.

I think Mizzou is in trouble. My hunch is that the Big 10 has moved on, and the Pac 10 isn't interested.

What do you mean? ACC didn't kick out anyone. They took Miami and VT one year and BC a year or two after that. Went from 9 to 11 to 12.
This would be like the teams from the SWC that didn't go to the Big 12 or the SEC.

In all honesty, I don't see why Mizzou wouldn't fit in the SEC. Arkansas does for crying out loud. They frick their own sisters.

He was saying that originally Syracuse was one of the teams that was going to the ACC from the Big East but were decided against at a later date.

If the Big 12 is raided and Mizzou and maybe Kansas and KSU go to the MWC, I think the BCS will come in and give the MWC the Big 12's automatic bid spot.

kansas has got to be more appealing to the big 11+nebrska than mizzou.
Just like people have said, wash for football between the 2, and KU brings awesome yearly basketball rivalries into play
